This looked like a stage where Mohs rather fails to stay with his leadout than win it...
PCM13 seems to be like that, with Maksimov and Lo Cicero doing fine in PCT, and Rasmussen winning races in CT.

22nd with Guardini. Probably the maximum I can expect with great speed but not hanging behind sprint trains.
Hopefully future PCM will allow 1 sprinter per team no matter the strength.
Congrats to Pokerstars, who score hugely here with every sprint finish. |

That was disappointing from Van Heerden as I thought this stage was one of his better chances this vuelta. But without any help at all it was never going to be easy. The most important thing is obviously that Contador made it through safe.
Thanks for another report, SN, and congratulations once again to beagle! Not in my slightest imagination did I believe Mohs would win three stages in the first week. Degenkolb is just amazing. |

Another shitty sprint performance by Guerao. I might aswell go all out for Tzortzakis next season. Despite leading out he still manager top 10 all the time.

Why not Avelino as well? He's been impressive with his positioning, but rather vulgar when the motors start spinning. Anyway, as long as Machado keeps safe in the pack I'll be happy.
On the other hand, terrific form from the Pokerstars' men, they are completely stealing the show! Congrats beagle!
Thanks for landing another stage SN, keep up with the awesome work

Thanks for congratulations
Our sprint train is unbeliavable so far. Still, this win was kinda unexpected. Frankly, I expected breakaway to win here or sprint of bigger group, with most sprinters left behind. I´m very happy to be wrong and looking forward to next thrilling reports!
PS. My main concern is whether any of fast men will survive that hellish stage 11...

Ouch, didn't even see that before. Doubts are justified...

John Degenkolb can probably survive the mountainstage is my guess.
I also think Jurgen Roelandts, Leigh Howard, Bruno Santos and Rick Zabel will manage the climb decently...
So stagewin(s) and the points jersey is actually not impossible for Degenkolb, which could make it an even crazier race for Pokerstars. I hope, Georgos Tzortzakis can survive aswell, which could see him make a good result also.

Hooray, Roelandts has remembered how to sprint again.
Nice from the Pokerstars duo

Great stage from Pokerstars yet again, may even have seen Degenkolb as a more likely winner than Mohs there.
Happy for a quiet day in pink.

Impressive to see Pokerstars in this sort of terrain.
On the other hand is it quite the opposite with my own team, yet another invisible performance - Too bad there aren't points for that

I feel my team is just a part of the peloton this race... Do we even have any points yet? Might be that my team believe Zabel can do something in a sprint?

Gomez Marchante is doing well so far. 14th in the GC and gaining time on riders like Lövkvist or Ratiy. Eventually should try to gain time on Faiers to make one for GC spot.
Eventually he should have tried to join the Dombrowski group but I guess he just waits for the 3rd week for that.
And nice to see my riders in a breakaway. But they are doing it wrong...Thurau on the mountain stage and Olivier on the hilly stage...just make it the other way around and it might work better. |

Phew... I thought it was gone for Contador when Denifl and he were gapped inside the final 10 kilometers. Definitely lucky those in front couldn't co-operate.
Also thought we were on course for a stage win seeing the picture where Contador made his move in the sprint, but Tenorio was simply too strong on the final meters.
If he gets safe through the next stage, third before the time trial probably means third after the time trial as well, which will be great, as that will keep him very much in contention for an overall podium.
Thanks for another nice report, SN. Hopefully AI gives you slightly more entertaining mountain stages in the final two weeks. Stage 11 looks like an absolute killer. |

What a key win for Tenorio, narrows the gap which should mean taking red in the TT crucially before stage 11. This could lead from this point to a 1000 pointer for Santander at time they need it most.

Quiet stage for us. My sprinters survived without any troubles and Roche finished exactly where he was expected. Now back to lowlands again!

Frustrating stage, a bit of a waste of a mountain stage for Jose though happy enough I guess to still be amongst them. Got a feeling though we will drop down to about 6th following the TT. Which will make positioning and the like a bitch but perhaps will give us a chance of playing a bit tactically.
Tenor io has played this clever defensive riding from him has worked a treat.

Ah good, now the Vuelta has reached the mountains the blue-touch paper is lit! Excellent showing from the South American rider contingent on stage 7 - hopefully they keep up the good show. We can be sure the radio coverage is certainly being delivered at ear-pitch blast back in Colombia.
I'm also wondering if there is some sort of humane society that I can report Volkswagen and Jaguar to for sending Predatsch and Bakari respectively to do battle with all these hills and mountains . Must be humiliating being dropped every day even by the worst 'Control' rider . Watching the fight for the lanterne-rouge very closely!

Nice to see active Rujano. That time loss from hilly stages will hurt me for a long time, if he will be able to keep with his rivals in mountain stages like he did here...
