The ref seems to book people for fakes and when nothing happens, but when somebody slide tackles someone and it's illegal, you'll be lucky (or unlucky if you did the tackle) to get a foul let alone a card.

I've found the ref to be good enough, there were always some dodgy decisions and always will be. My main issue is offside, it should only be given if the player actually gets the ball, and not when it's meant to go to him, but gets intercepted. Kills counter attacking sometimes.

Assumed it was some special word for referee, after all he's a native speaker
But yeah found out now what it is.
Referees are questionable now and then, but not up to the point that it annoys me. Probably make less 'mistakes' than the Eredivisie referees do.

Ah, I always do that accidently, it's an umpire in AFL, and at least I remembered the second time.
for me the refs just seem to get everything wrong though. Especiall offside.

Yeah i agree about the offside rule it should be implemented better in this game
At least it's better than what I get in Fifa 13, you shoot and the goalie deflects it to a player who was off-side when you shot.

As a qualified FA referee (how many times have i said this by now) i feel obliged to wade into this.
Dippos complaint: If the ball was intended for the player in an off-side position then that is an offence and it is the correct decision to award an indirect freekick to the opposition. Otherwise what is the point of the offisde rule? You'd just have one man sit on the edge of the box and fire balls forwards all day long.
Treks complaint: Again that is an offside rule violation. Deflection of another player is treated in the same way as deflection of a goal post, official or other interference. If the player was offside when the ball was shot and it deflects off the keeper that is an offence and it is correct to award an indirect freekick to the opposition.
However if the keeper catches the ball or makes clear attempt to control the ball then a new phase of play begins and the offside rule doesn't apply anymore.
Basically the offside rule was applied correctly in the above complaints and you lot are just whiny b*tches FIFA games have done a pretty good job of accurately representing the offside rule since at least the '98 World Cup game.

Or in Fifa 13(and 15, too): You shoot at the Goal, hit the crossbar, and another player of you gets the ball, its offside...

No, I meant when it gets intercepted by the opposition. Shouldn't advantage be played?

@Dippo - Yes that's still offside offence. You would not play advantage because you don't play advantage for technical fouls (offside being a technical foul).

How about when your player actually doesn't get the ball, you boot it forward (clearance?) and the other team gets it, but you have one player offside, who was nowhere near the ball, that shouldn't count.

That would not be offside, but i imagine it occurs in FIFA and probably because it's very difficult to programme in the difference between intention/interfereing/active/inactive and various other variables.

No idea, to be honest.
So, decided to pick up my Morecambe regen career.
Quite enjoying it.
I'm in 2017/2018, so 4th season, and I started with Morecambe.
Did a financial takeover, but only to invest in youth scouts. Got a few awesome ones, and decided to lean only on regens, preferably ones from my own academy. (At this point I have only signed 1 regen, rest is all produced by myself).
Sold all of the current players at the end of season 1, having regens taking over all fairly soon.
Season 14/15: (Real players) - Npower League 2 - 9th
Season 15/16: (95% regens) - Npower League 2 - 2nd
Season 16/17: (100% regens) - Npower League 1 - 2nd
Season 17/18: (100% regens) - FL Championship - 7th(in progress).
So never became champion, but grew out to a great club fairly soon. That's because most regens grew with the club. Lots of guys who I signed in 15/16 or even 14/15 are still playing regulary. Most of my first team players are around 70AVG now, with some bright talents even higher.
Now here's the main talent. He's insane, really, and by far my best player.
Keep in mind, he's only 19! So an awesome talent, worth 13,5 Million Euros atm but I could prolly get 30 for it. I will keep him as long as I can, but I doubt that'll be very long because he might demand an insane salary next renewals.
Big drawback is his physical. Beside 56Strength, he also only has ~50 Stamina. Sure I take this into account in his playing style, but it is really a problem.
Oh by the way, a key tip for the youth academy:
Wait with giving your youth prospect a contract until after 1 May. 1 May is when these guys process and they might get a huge AVG boost(depending on their potential and quality beforehand, that could even be +15) at that time, if you're lucky. Exactly at 1May that is, they only progress once a year.

for when I get a talent so they are not as good and when I try to rent them out for a whole each season so no one bother to have them What can i do
and do you know about Martin Ødegaard is he included in the next update??
