Cant wait for my first race of the season. Which will be the Vuelta a Mallorca, I believe.

Agree, that'll finally give some (provbably false) information on where everyone might end up

I was really surprised no one made a preview yet. I haven't got the time to make my normal B.T. one unfortunately.

Not all planners are in, so they're not allowed yet! I've done one. |

I know of at least 3 PT ones in the works but as said we have to wait for race planners to be in.

I thought there would be a couple of PT previews - so I have concentrated on doing a CT preview, which I have completed and managed to get most of the PCT preview done yesterday evening.
I have a predicted rankings for the PT also - with some thoughts on why teams are where I think they will be.
Very pleased to see most of the planners in. A shame there seems to be a few CT's out - I think they may correlate with those who have not got jerseys in shirt database yet.

21/22 PT
28/30 PCT - But both have sent in January lineups
24/26 CT - Both have sent in a file, but need to fix some race clashes.
It's going to be a close finish!

I'm doing a CT 'prediction' not a 'preview' as such, more using maths to try and work out who finishes where and find out how that compares to common sense and brainpower.

Why isn't it allowed to make a preview before the planners are in? We don't know which races the riders have selected anyway, so there is no advantage to gain from waiting until the previews are up.
Am I missing something obvious?

I am asking myself the same things for some quite a time. I guess it is because lazy managers would have their job easier in "identifying" the possible opponents and their strenght. I cant care less about it , but SN made that pretty clear several times during last few years...

I suppose seeing an in depth preview might make ou think one of your riders is weaker or stronger then you originally thought and make you change where you send him to try and avoid the tougher competition.
That or if you are not sure if you should push for promotion or develops talents then where you are ranked in the previews could effect that decision.

It is mostly for the sake of new managers, because it gives them ideas on the relative strength of their riders in various terrains. If I were to say, for example, that "Sprinter X isn't strong enough to compete in the sprint classics, but with some clever planning he might be able to take a stage in a race with only one or two flat stages", then that will give that hint to the manager.

I think you might be the last team to have their first race, so will be a bit of a wait for you!
