I can see Alex and Project 14Ti being really happy about this may need a couple more Romanian's in the database for this to be a full takeover though |

Yeah, Dacia is really famous in eastern europe, but now it is just romanian Renault, not so fancy original shit cars like in the past.
Anyway, this is not shift of focus or any romanian takover. Important people at Dacia just like our project and see Eduard Grosu as the future cycling star. There is a question about possible adition of his compatriots, but for now i see only one useful free agent, maybe we need to find someone to add. But we are still ukrainian team, with other eastern europeans and also italians on the scope, so dont expect any major changes because of Dacia sponsorship...
We have deep respect for romanian manager of 1t4i and we actually had a phone call about appointing Dacia as our co-sponsor before we made it public, to ensure we are not in sponsor conflict of some kind. He seems to support the idea.

Really nice choice, exactly the same type of choice which I made with Kiwibank. Hopefully it only means your Eastern Europe contingent is getting stronger and stronger.

Antonov joins the party as minor sponsor!
After recent revelation of Emirates stepping down as co-sponsor of our team, just to be replaced by Dacia, we can also announce last minor change to our sponsors department. Since Emirates were the company that ensured travelling around the world for team Metinvest, we lost important part of logistics chain with their departure. We are glad that they are now replaced by another strong aviatic company and even more, with famous ukrainian one!
Antonov is well known producer of air planes and in recent years also company that runs also separate airlines. Closer details of the deal are of course a secret, but we are happy to present you the jet we are provided with, to secure all the team needs when travelling out of Europe or for longer distances withing old continent.
So Antonov, welcome aboard!

@Ian: You can become our fanboy and maybe we will take your by that jet on some race. Or if you will get in the man-game soon, just loan in all my talents, pay their wage and we are fine.
@fjhoekie: They know where the success lies.
(actually i forgot a bit they sponsored you in the past). It looks like Privatbank is going humanistic with foundations and stuff and we are going olligarch way.

I should have kept Boeing and we could have had an amazing Eastern-Europe and Airplane rivalry

Metinvest would prefer Eastern-Europe cooperation more than rivalry, even when Boeing should be gone as the sponsor.

@ cio: Yeah, i know they make some of the largest airplanes ever, but we are fine with the jet.
Andrei Grivko - missing piece?
Hello cycling fans, here is Pitin again with some cycling news!
After recent article about Vadim Ratiy, we will stay with Team Metinvest-Emirates (soon Metinvest-Dacia) and this time focus on another ukrainian cycling veteran and star, Andrii Grivko.
Andrii spent last several years in jersey of danish setup Team B&O, where he played a vital role of all-around helper for stars like Pluchkin or Keinath. He has lot of experience with cycling biggest races and his all around skills are admired by many.
That brings us to the question, why he is not riding for his homecountry team? Metinvest's CEO Popov and manager Honchar were pretty clear several times, that Andrii would be their wishful signing, but for few years now, danish manager of his team refused to talk about the possible move.
But we can be sure that people around Metinvest cycling team will not give up and will try to bring Grivko to their team again for 2015 season.
Background sources informed us about difficult position of Team B&O in terms of their license for next year PT, they are said to be currently reviewed by MGUCI. That could possibly make the negotiations more fluid, as Grivko is not shy about talking about Metinvest as his possible "retirement home". We were not able to gain any statement from Metinvest on the matter, Honchar just blasted "No comment, for now".

We are too drunk now to comment closer, but our fans and opponents can be sure, that we are ready to play real role in PT and not just fight for the scraps. After we will drink ourselves to sober state, the planning wheel will start spinning. We identified our biggest target(s) already
PT, here we come!

Congrats on your promotion! It is definitely well deserved! Now it will be interesting to see how you manage to shape up in the pro tour.
Btw, Nolan told me that he's not too keen on PT, he thinks he can win more as a PCT sprinter.

Thanks Aidan, we have already spoken to Nolan about his future and he really thinks he should stay in PCT, but on the other hand, we see him as ideal PT leadout material, so things are open and will depend on the transfers.
I have some PT plans in mind, with keeping our eastern european focus and being competitive at the same time, so lets see how it will shape up. Looking forward to new jersey from your "factory" , we need to be shiny in PT.

Thanks guys.
Yeah, i can only hope that Ignatiev will try to repeat wildcard performances from 2014, but it will be tough. There is some enormous gap to be filled TT +TTT wise in PCT after Oz and Metinvest moving higher. Will be interesting to see who will play these roles in 2015, next to obvious Rothaus and BPost.
