Valverde looked pretty bad on Ventoux though. So if he was still high up in GC there, they'd probably look in more ways to hurt him |

I thought he finished just ahead of Contador/Froome. My bad. I'm sure he got time somewhere between the flat and now though which he probably wouldn't have got.
Actually not. He has either finished alongside or behind the other contenders on every road stage since the echelon day.
Of course, things could've played out differently if he hadn't lost time.

Yep, I will vote for a Quintanna win, this lad was superb during these previous MO stages.

Well Danielson near in the front, and I can't imagine he would be if Talansky was in trouble at the back.

Well, dont think you can say that, everyone was on their limits, and who would have done it? Quitana was riding for the stage, and Kreuziger and Contador wsasnt exactly good and limited their losses as well. The only one who could take advantage of it was Rodirguez and I doubt that he would have played it differently than his 1-km attack.
At the end of the day, we dont know, so it's pointless to discuss.. but I dont think there can be any doubt that he would be on the podium right now. But done is done, unfortunately.. |

Prediction: Tom Danielson attacks catches up to the front group. He wins while Anton gets second. |

Tejay really wants that stage win. It's amazing how active he was been since losing all hope for a good GC finish.

I'd say predictable rather than amazing. All GC riders that lose hope early try to go for stagewins. Not always do they come as close as TJ on Alpe though. |

nice fact that van Poppel was not even born when Jensi was already pro.
41 year old..leading a race.
Boy is back home. This was just way to early to give him a GT..this is not football as teenage sport. |
