How about a gentle ride to the foot of the Mont Ventoux? DENIED!
Was probably the better bet to not let Rolland join them in the breakaway, but now Europcar are in for revenge. Compared to earlier when the gap was approaching the 10 minute mark, Europcar have now reduced that to 6 minutes in an "instant". |

The amusing thing is, that pulling back the break hands Froome the mountains jersey, which massively hurts Europcar compared to if Poels gets it.

I just thought the samer. If Froome will win today and Alpe+ few points here and there, Rolland can have game over. Pretty dumb rage pulling by Europcar...

So they will pull it back and tham what, Rolland will attack again after riding 40kms only with Burghardt earlier? Silly.
Or Voeckler, but i think he is bad this year...

Unless Voeckler has considerably improved, and hey this is Voeckler we are talking about, I am unsure what their plan is. As Avin said, Rolland would have to be sensibly feeling pretty good to form another successful breakaway for the day. |

I dont mind Europcar pulling. Means we will get faster to Ventoux. I CANT WAIT even tho I know inside Froome.exe will go full retard and ruin it. |

4 mins now. I'm hoping for echelons and Froomebot left behind before Ventoux. That would be amazing |

Big tactical mistake from Bernaudau btw. They should have done the Saxo-Nicki Sörensen trick from last year

With this speed, group will be caught some 40kms before Ventoux and half of the peloton will be dead already, that will be very interesting.

Still advantage Froome in the General Classification, but we have seen just how well this year's Team Sky can ride when things don't go their way. |

They tried, but the break decided that their odds were better without ROlland.
Now Europcar have to make good on their bluff, or they can never use it again.

It's official now: Europcar is a lame team..... "Breakaway, you wait for Rolland, or you get caught! Don't mind if he outclimbs you all, you should wait because we are Europcar!"

I find this kinda funny :-p Looking forward to see how this ends, some of the favorites will really hurt today considering the speed they've had all day

The sad thing is, a high pace on the flat favours the heaviest climbers.
i.e. Froome

And they are not pulling fast enough now, only some 15 seconds in 10kms, lame Europcar.
