Goss had a pretty shit day. Lost two key leadout men in Durbridge, who crashed in a feed zone on a discarded bottle, and Matthews didn't start due to illness. Think it may have been a different result had he had them their. Still decent performance to get over the climbs in the front group.
Meersman going very well this season. |

Nice win from Meersman, he is still in shape coming from the classics. Goss is fine i believe, building up for Giro, so he has some more time, before challenging likes of Bouhanni, Cav and Ferrari (who looks good already) there.

Yeah, Goss will be strong in the Giro. I know that guy Jens Keukeleire (not really a friend, but I know him), and he's going to be leading him out there. He's really nervous about it, too! |

He should be as he didn't ride any Classics except Amstel
He'll be a definitely good option for few stages at Giro for OPQS.

Meersman won't ride the Giro. Will only ride the Vuelta this year.
Is what I though I read somewhere couple weeks ago. Can't find any source.

Markus Burghardt, Matthias Brandle, and...Johnny Hoogerland are in the breakaway. Great to see Johnny back in the peloton and attacking too! |
