Just watched it, miserable weather. Looks like most riders just wanted to get to the hotel.

Wonder what Greipel will say - he looked perfectly positioned then went no where. Great to see Goss winning again though.
According to Belgian press he thanked his team and said his legs weren't good enough to win.
Cavendish, on the other hand, says the exact opposite: he could win, but his team messed up. He might be right about that, but I don't think you should blame them openly.
Greipel has no other excuse though - Greipel was set out into the sprint in 1st place. Cav was 30th with 1k to go...
Which situation would you rather be in?
Last year - with Cav not supported at Sky it was understood he wasn't getting leadouts but now with a new team focused around him for the race you would expect them to have a good enough leadout to put him in contention for the win. |

You will never see Cavendish saying he wasn't strong enough to win! |

No but, I was laughing and wrote "low blow" because of the boobs part.
I don't deny you're right about the personality part. |

Greipel doesn't have the habit blaiming others when he doesn't win.
Yeah, that is speciality of certain mr. Cavendish, who usually does nothing without perfect lead-out.

We all know that isn't true in the slightest... |

Yeah, he can do without it on some stages, especially in top form. Still he is a c*ck.
Every time he does not win, it is fault of lead-out...never his.
Btw. Sagan said about yesterday, that his teammates made great job to bring him at front. He said he tried to win with that burst, but his legs were like stones in that rain and freezing wether. He is looking forward to next stages, for another chance.

Amen
I get his disappointment of yesterday's stage, but blaming his lead-out... In those weather conditions, no one is to blame. |

I liked Cav before and I still do. He just shouldn't let his disappointment get the better of him.
So far, he's always been positive about his new team and the work they're doing for him. He's won five stages, one GC and is wearing the blue jersey right now, all thanks to his team. So if the team fails once, he should just say "too bad, better luck next time". |
