well that was an interesting stage, I don't think my riders have decided which one of them is the strongest yet and with such a small gap seperating the pair of them for 3rd it will be a nice battle between them
@firefly don't worry about being down to only 5 riders, that's teh same number I started with and look how well we've been doing so far.
and I do like the fact that the top 3 on GC all have Leaders Jerseys of one form or another going into tomorrow's stage.

A new attack from Rohregger just moments later, and only Alizadeh seems to have the cream in his legs to follow.
Read this on my ipad a couple of hours back and still chuckling at this quote.
Re-read the stage a couple of times, enjoyed the mountain epic. So many nice performances, good to see Rodas giving it his all there and Landa what a ride to win the stage. Rohregger of course delivers the big verdict though now, clearly has plenty of cream in his legs

I honestly have no idea how that sentence appeared. Can't think of any word that was supposed to be there instead, but I've edited it now.

Gaah, also my second sprinter didn't make the cut... Lima would've been an amazing card to play on stage 12...
Only Gomenyuk remains...
On the other hand: Mestre, why did you fuck up in the first few stages.... He is capable of following the very best...

I don't know exactly the best sprinters left, but everyone above 70 should have a good chance?

Ghafari should have a good chance as he no longer has to work for the leader.

Lima with 76SP would be the rider to watch... Now I still have that Gomenyuk with 74SP but 0 support.

If earlier stages are anything to go by then Jiriakov might be an outside bet, especially if he needs the bonus seconds for the GC.

Great stage, greatly reported, one of the most epic encounters of the season so far. Gameplay on this insane stages looks very fine compared to hilly ones, only the strongest have a chance.
Big congrats to Magna and Rohregger, what a performance!

Hmm, not the mountainstage we were hoping for... Now let's hope Kono can make up some places in the TT...
BTW Do you guys realise Mestre would've been comfortably 3rd in the GC if he didn't decide to attack, and attack, and go completely nuts on stage 4?...

I'll bow down for you Alakagom
This stage win was even more unexpected than the last one, as I thought only the prime climbers could win this monster uphill at the end of the race, given that a breakaway didn't have 10 minutes in advance. Very happy though, with our (and Suryadis) 2nd victory so far in the season.
Armavia have absolutely no hope for the TT, but I will follow it with huge interrest. Great report once again!

Totally bizarre mountain stage, the sort you dread seeing in most cases but here almost understandable considering the epic stage previous.
You could spin that the knackered riders simply had nothing left, a shame for them they have this massive solo test on the next day.

Mestre and Colorado are very similar time trialists, and only 6 seconds seperating them
Should be a great fight...
Also I think Kononenko could pass Ndbri and Ihlenfeld.
So I guess I have to settle with 5th/6th and 8th. And a possible 3rd stage with Gomenyuk.

Dull last mountain stage but that's no problem after such a great stage the day before. 26" seperating Rohregger and Martinez. Could turn out to be an exciting timetrial.

I said this on Twitter, but I thought I'd drop it off here as well.
TT will come up later tonight, and the final stage at some point tomorrow. Any predictions for what will happen?

GC Wise: Rohregger will stay on 1. Mestre +0'' on Colorado in the GC and Kononenko up to 8th GC. Also Jiriakov will take 3rd GC.
For the TT itself: I'd say Martinez, Rohregger +13'', Kononenko +22''. (though I have to admit I don't really knmow whether there are any good timetrialists left, but I guess those 3 saved some energy over the last few days)

I think Mihaylov (who i believe is still in) could put in a decent ride and surprise a few people.
But yeah it will be all about the main favorites, and i am going to say no major changes to any of the top placings

Difficult to see anything other than Rohregger stamping home his superiority. Unless that last climb is seen as a weakness and he is on a lower recovery.
Lower down I should imagine Kononenko will move upwards.
