Expect a live tweet in between 10 and 10:30 most likely. |

Awesome result for us, just one stage to go and this will have given us way more than expected.
And Oelerich moving into 13th isn't bad either. Training pays off

Finally a Top-5 Too bad Jiao lost contact though, but with Lloyd, Gerrans and Visconti all staying in GC's Top-20 (and no crash in final stage), I do have some hope for scoring a few points after a (still) rather TdU.

Wegmann is an overpiad lead-out man, obviously...

We don't have any riders called Richardson in our team but you mention one in the latest report.
Glad to see Schurter is still up there with the leading group again and that he's moved up into 14th overall now.

Yep. Was airBaltic`s rider.
No matter if Bellis left. Now it`s Froome and Dowsett who are "dominating". SN just keeps winning just like Fenian said.
And also nice to see that not always the best hill stat wins such stages. So it`s more unpredictable and more exiciting. |

Dowsett
I kept wondering where on earth he was hiding until he sprinted into the lead and I realised he was wearing a black jersey

Yeah. The TdU U25 jersey is quite strange. Had this problem as well while playing. Often tried to find him by looking for the Brits jersey. |

Hansen took the KoM lead and Kump held on to keep his top 10, that's all I could possibly hope from this stage, so I'm quite satisfied.

Very interesting uphill sprint, Willunga clearly is not a long enough one to create gaps and the parcours of the stage don't lend themselves to do so.
Dowsett whose sprint stage performances of 30,22,22 are impressive has a far better countback I think than Efimkin (whose 51st on stage 3 could well cost him). That said of course it truly is the tightest of margins. Last stage crashes can happen .
If someone has a free 30 minutes the countback from 6th to 33rd on the overall may be interesting!

Excellent win for Dowsett..
My team did very well today Soto Pereira on the break and Mehr-Wenige to conquer a top10 ... Maybe if it had not been covered by Gavazzi could have done even better, but the 7th place was not already bad. For the last stage just asked for an escape or will lose 10th in the GC.

I might be wrong but the riders within the same time are all correct I think. Cyanide is adding the stage results in that case. So even more surprising they don`t get this done for the team rankings, where it`s still pretty random in case of s.t. |

But to clear this.
Hatanaka (80), Betancourt (89), Hermans (94), Kump (95), Mehr-Wenige (97), Gerrans (112), Wegmann (130) and so one. So seems to work for individual rankings.

I demand that big injustice to be solved!

This means that Mehr-Wenige have to lose 16 places for Gerrans in the next stage, to exit the top10 and is only 3 places to catch Kump ... This will be interesting ...

Oh brilliant! After Zingle was dropped I gave up and then I saw that he rejoined and held on to move up to 5th! Amazing!
Great win for Dowsett.

Nice to see AMEX's punchuers wake up a little bit on the climbs. Carlos Barredo finished the day 12th over the line after making an attack at the base of the last time up. Sylvain Chavanel finished 16th and even young Jan Dieteren kept it together finishing +2'57 and in 46th place.
In the overall we have not done well but with a new team this early season is really about progress.
Our punchuers are not quite ready, but nothing to be concerned about. This is probably the weakest sprint group we will send out all season. Theo Reinhardt and Rudig Selig were not able to distinguise themselves in this race.
Domestiques Michael Kurth did his job well and was praised by team manager Martyn Haly. Fabien Taillefour was the lone weak link. He had be counted on to get the young sprinters to the front of the peloton where they could work on a sprint train. Taillefour was totally unable to come even close to filling that role.
Yes, there is a lot to learn. This is AMEXpc's only race in January so we will have more time to work out the kinks.
One more short run in tomorrow.
