I doubt they're using "shit". I've not seen the Specialized in details, but I've seen the Lapierre one (FDJeux's), it's anything but bad in terms of aerodynamics.
Bike takes about 1/3 of the frontal surface of the bike + cyclist combination.
Still, if the wind was the same, and their frontal surfaces were the same too, Chavanel's power output outclasses Roy's by 10 % ! Huuuge margin between pros. No idea how much each of them weighs though. |
