Nah, Vancouver exposed them in the end of the regular season. I have thought the Hawks were over-rated since then, and they haven't been as good since then (still really good, but not unbeatable.)
I personally think it will be Wings/ Sharks in the West, but the SJ/LA series is really close.

LA also won, the matchup with Sharks is very close, but LA-Wings would be nice conference Finals, same as Pens-Bruins.

Id hate to coach in a big city for any team as they get fired so fast because they can't win a championship each season, its sad really.

Maybe Pittsburgh is back in the drivers seat after all. That first series had me questioning, and with the dominance over Ottawa and Boston coming up, I think they can take Chicago in the finals... (My Prediction )

Blackhawks
Man, every game has been worth staying up until 4am but this one was particularly spectacular. "End" of an historical rivalry, high paced game, great physical plays, a goal wrongly disallowed with 1 minute to go and Game 7 decided only in OT. I think I lost a few years of life in these 3 hours.

Gotta love back to back game 7s! And OT in one to boot!
Nonetheless, it's pretty bad to lose a series after being up 3-1.
The Hawks were clearly the better team in games 5-6. Last night could have gone either way.
I'm not sure if it was the Wings choking or the Hawks just upping their game.
2 really interesting series coming up. Can't wait! |

Well the future for the Wings is blindingly bright as their AHL affiliate and nearby (15 minute drive for me) Grand Rapids Griffins are going to the Calder Cup finals for the first time ever by winning Game 7 tonight. Actually might make it down to the rink to see some finals action first hand.

Another great win for Bruins, Krejci with Bergeron are just rolling it and Jagr is the mental force behind it. They are my favourites for the title, with incredible Rask between the posts.

I thought Boston was in total control after going up 2-0 and then 3-1, but they let Chicago claw back to take it to OT, where it's anyone's game. |
