I could do some reports if necessary.
Although I prefer to be a stand-in reporter... There are better reporters here than me, and once in a few weeks I got a really busy week.

Indeed, but Chavanel-78rated, Flecha-80rated De Gendt-77rated
Luis Leon-78rated
Whilst i see your point i don't tihkn these guys are massively underrated anyway, so tehy stilll come with a big price tag
I get your point about TT'ists, but most of the guys with a second strong discipline have a good average, a few are down considerably i'll admint (Martin) but i can't see anything working absoluely perfectly, and their are very few anomalies with this system, 8% of your budget on a rider like Martin, whilst a good investment for a few stage wins/TTT help, is still a large cost
Edit: I'd like to get involved with a few of the administrative bits of running this, and would happily write reports for races

@gg - Its a nice idea, and well thought out, but its quite a lot of work... This needs to be simple, which is why a normal 1-by-1 draft works. It may take longer, but i can easily manage that on my own, and with help it becomes super easy.
Also if there is a draft, there will be no transfers. In fact i'm trying to avoid transfers at all, as it makes it easier to balance out the teams.
The transfer idea was just because you don't get specific riders but a package of them. And, IMO it's easy to manage the excels and you don't need to take all the job on your own. Each category it's independent from the other so one person can work on one of the drafts.
When I use it, we were 5 people working with the draft and with few hours we had the teams sorted. Implementation takes time dough but with either system.
The only problem with the 1 by 1 system is that if you have 40 teams and 30 riders per team it will be 1200 picks that could take ages.

When we did a draft in the P-MG we did it day by day, and for me that was one of the most fun parts of the game, it means no one is too overloaded and steadily putting a team together was (at least for me) really enjoyable

Well... Ok, value on average isn't thát bad, but there are still some things in it that aren't fair.
Take Boasson Hagen <-> Demare
They are both sprinters, with an average of 77.
Hagen: SP 77, ACC 78, Every skill at least 72, most of them 76+
Demare: SP 78, ACC 77, Apart from a decent downhill and stamina skill(and of course Flat) , nothing above 70(not even a skill exactly 70). Even Recuperation just 68.
I think this proves that the average rule isn't really fair.
I mean, it's a decent solution, but it's just not really fair. (It's not that I 'attack' you or your idea btw, if that's not clear, I really like your idea )

A lot of good ideas here. I would really not overcomplicate the draft, though some ideas can really make it more realistic. I also like the idea of season goals, but without just copying the man game. But it's good people give their opinion about this, if we want this to succeed everything needs to be thought trough. But in the end not all ideas will work and TMM will decide what he thinks is best for this game
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

@TMM: What if a sponsor got a double-language? For example Italian-French, can you choose which nationality you want to use? Just the nationality that would fit your (team) plans the best?

I find the fact you can be just a cyclist and not having to be a team manager the most fun part of the PCMCL and as such i'd like to see the option of being a cyclist on someone else's team included.
If this was an option to the game then how well the cyclists do could gain money for their team, then their team could use that as their budget and pay the cyclists wages out of it then the cyclists can use their wage to improve their rider in the off season.
Obviously that is a rough idea and it would need atleast some work if not alot of work to make it viable but it would really offer something new to the game that would help distinguish it from the man game.

Finished to read the last 3 page...
As for the draft baggie's and gg's ideas seem very good;
I agree with Sportingnonsense: don't create another Man-Game but a new one with our (and different) idea.
@TMM
I can help you with report or something else
EDIT: How will you choose the the team that will be WT or PCT?

@ste - Not sure yet. I may just go with my original idea of first come, first served. (i would include an allowance for timezones)
Have finally had a little bit of time to start trying to make numbers. I think what i've got will work, but the only to know will be to run the game.
Also been thinking around how to improve a few features and a few other bits. All looks good so far.
Just need to know from Admins if there will ever be a sub-section for the fantasy games.

Oh and btw, you may share you thoughts how to improve a few features here if you want, I'm curious

I've been thinking over the Nationalization. Its tough to implement fairly with a draft system. Thinking of taken a part of gg's idea, the 'packs', mixing it Nationally, then including it in some way with either the draft or team application/selection.
I've been trying to make some numbers for Contract renewals. At the moment it looks like mixing it with Baggie's numbers. I think it will work well on small scale.
Finally, i think i've got an idea of how Scouting might work.
Scouting
Spoiler I run the DB as a career in the background.
At certain points in the season U23's will be made available to view.
You will automatically get to see a couple from your teams regions.
Then you can spend money to see more Young Riders from elsewhere in the world.
But you can only sign them if you have a space in the squad. This means that you may have to not renew a few existing riders. Of course this means the CT will be able to sign more U23 riders. They will also get priority. So if a WT and a CT team want the same rider, he goes to the CT team.

the scouting method is really good: CT for WT
edit: and if I remember correctly CT riders develop faster (not sure about that)

I think you're confusing this with my game, CT has no developping bonuses here.
