HSBC - MKB Bank Reveals New Team Jersey
Today, the Media Manager for team HSBC - MKB Bank released the teams new kit to the public. It's quite a change from the old jersey, and the team was quoted as saying
"With this new kit, we hope to continue to be seen by the opposition, fans and the sports main officials in our hope to make it to the top decision of cycling. Despite numerous changes, we have maintained our simplistic design and managed to make it look good, stand out, and make it easy on the eyes. I think everyone will join me in saying thank you and great work to the kits designer.
Spoiler NB; This jersey is subject to change, but the main desing will remainl the same.
Many, many thanks to Miggi for his great work |

Not quite yet Maxime. I still need just a few things and still have 1 assignment and 2 tests to study for before Thursday. But after that, this should be full steam ahead |

Maxime (Max?): I believe Alakagom was referring to his fantasy rider, Maxime Van Damme...
Alakagom: Am I correct? And I'm quite interested to see how he'll do against the best |

Maxime Van Damme, of the new HSBC - MKB Bank, seems to be in great form ahead of the new season... He was seen with 3 teammates ripping the peloton to pieces in a local Kermesse on the outskirts of Maxime's home town. He later went on to win the race, with his close friend and training partner, Wouter van der Weerd , coming home in 2nd. It is unconfirmed as to who the other 2 riders were.
With the team currently half way through a training camp in Norhern Flanders, it is unsure whether he Was allowed to be racing here, or whether he took the opportunity to race in his home town before he sets off to Australia to participate in more early season training and cheer on his team mate Mitch Thompson as he embarks in the quest that is the teams first race, the Australian National Championships...
More photos and (hopefully) a quote to come.

After today's confusion of Maxime Van Damme's Kermesse victory, more information has been provided. We can now confirm that it was only the 4 riders in the race, and Van Damme and van Der Weerd were joined by the Bakker brothers (Jeffery and Raymond) in the race.
As the results have been released, we can clearly see some riders in better form than others, with a few other Pro's turning up for a pre season hit out
1: M. Van Damme
2: W van Der Weerd @ 2"
3: P Gilbert @ 2"
4: J Degenkolb @ 17"
9: R Bakker @ 17"
18: H Haussler @ 37"
23: J Bakker @ 1'12"
67: M Goss @ 16:54
The newly appointed European manager of the team, Jackson Coventry, has since said
"Yes, the team has current commitments elsewhere and yes, the riders do too, but no, the riders are not required to be here legally. It is still only December, and so no contracts have been enforced yet, only signed. We would appreciate the riders here, but we trust them to make their own decisions and do what's best for them. If that is racing locally to get some race speed into their legs, then so be it. We can only hope they race responsibly and within their limits so as to not injured themselves, others or their equipment. We have spoken to all 4 riders, and they agree with our decision. They will be returning to train with us tomorrow."
We have some photos of the new team kits and equipment in action, but will refrain from revealing them until the offiicaial unveiling of the kit in 3 days time.

@Maxime: Not quite. I believe Maxime Oget is very persistent on leading the team in doing what is required, and not attending specified training camps is not one of them. |
