There will be some changes yes, mostly to make it possible to make different type of riders ;-)

Are all newly added riders supposed to start at XP level 1? Or are they given a realistic XP level depending on age?
(found a rider that I know is new with XP lvl 2)

I should say not just age, but their actual experience as well. As their stats are based on real life, so must their experience be to have some semblance of a logical career track. |

Is it possible that I can't open the DB with excel 2003? I'm using a quite old laptop. I can open race results from pcm though so nothing wrong with excel itself...

Download OpenOffice? It's free and good enough to view the DB with it and it has also sorting options to look better for riders someone else will get^^

I suppose the file is uploaded as the 2012 excel file? Someone can save it with 2003 compatibility for you and then you should be able to open it...i can do it at the afternoon.

I suppose you can download it and select open as 2003 Worksheet?

Found an error in the database, I think. I trained Marco Corti in sprint, and his sprint stat went from 73 -> 76, so he should have gotten +7 in resistance, right? Seems like this wasn't calculated in, so he only went from 62 -> 63 instead of 62 -> 70.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Simple maths! If he were to receive a stat bonus by +7 he would have a resistance of 69 not seventy

I know, but the rider receives one stat point for going from level 3 -> 4 with potential 5 as well.

Why should his resistance have gone + 7? If his sprint stats went + 3 for level 3<4, his resistance goes + 1, which happened

Why should he get 7 in resistance???
Normally a sprinter will receive a bonus in recovery to hinder riders like Valverde with a very high recovery stat and some good sprint stat to take part at the sprints or land a very good sprint result which is unrealistic.. So the sprinters that are better and aren't that exhausted will outsprint these riders.
But I don't know excactly when a rider gets the bonus..
Also real riders will get their stats changed if they are better or worse in real life.. Thats why I keep Ciolek as I think he won't deserve a 81 in Sprint anymore.

Yeah there's a typo in the stat-gains file. It should say +7 in recovery, not resistance.
