Yes, only the steep part of one climb, but then Contador had already ridden a GT before, while Cobo softpedaled for the whole season bar Burgos. If you really think Cobo can challenge Contador fine, but I really disagree with that.

Scarponi has decided to line up for the Giro after all. I think it's a smart decision, as he'd struggle in the Tour with that much TT.

Also, Contador confirms he'll race Eneco Tour.

I was expecting that, they would ride home race without strong GC leader, if Scarponi not going to race it.

If Conatador does a nice Vuelta and gets selected for worlds I see him winning it. Long time still, but hey, might get to quote this in a couple of months

Cunego?
Cunego is not going to Giro, he focuses on Worlds and Ardennes iirc.

I just read the letter in the article. To me, it sounds that he is more sorry for getting caught than actually using EPO. He never actually says 'Sorry for using EPO', just 'Sorry for what happened'.... |

It's the usual confession consisting of: "I'm sorry for getting caught" and "but my team didn't know anything, really really". Still better than "it was something in my steak/it's my unborn brother/I got this for kissing that girl".

Cunego can't be focussing on the Ardennes Classics when he is riding the Giro Del Trentino Lampre had a bit of a nasty crash during the TTT, Cunego was lucky it was behind him.

Cunego's big goal this week is LBL.

Says here that he's riding Trentino: https://www.cyclingnews.com/races/giro...-1/results
But it's cyclingnews and then you can't be 100% sure

Trentino ends before LBL.
And indeed, Cuengo said he rides Trentino to prepare himself for LBL. He said his best result in LBL was, when he rode Trentino too

The mountain jersey for this year's Giro will be blue instead of green.
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.

Indeed, also Kreuziger doing the same preparation, he is always good at L-B-L. But i am still surprised to see Cunego talking about the Giro, because he was talking for two months every day in every article about not doing it and going to Tour instead.
