So I was playing through Giro d' Italia in Career mode, but suddenly the game crashed on stage 19, the time-trial. I tried loading the game up again, but it crashed at the excact same time. Then I restarted my computer and tried again, but it was still the same crash at the same time.
If anyone could help me find out why this happened so that I can prevent this from happening again in the future that would be great.
I'm playing on the new patch, btw.
Thank you
Hi!
I think I may have found a solution to this problem using Lachi's Editor. I might have had a different problem than the rest of you, but the game did crash on the second to last rider on the 19th stage of the Giro, so it's probably the same. I cannot guarantee that this will work for the rest of you, but it worked perfectly for me.
Here are the instructions, probably a bit more thorough than needed, but I would rather be too specific than too vague:
1. Start the ITT stage during which the game crashes. If your problem is the same as mine, the stage will start fine - the game will not crash immediately.
2. Hit the spacebar and look at the rankings. Scroll through the overall standings. At some point, you will find a rider who isn't taking part in the Giro at all, like in Frederika's example, having a strange time. In my case, it was my own rider, but I'm not sure if that was a coincidence or not.
3. Note down his name, then exit the stage and the savegame.
4. Open Lachi's Editor. Extract the savegame in question.
5. Open DYN_cyclist (or just click the "Cyclists" shortcut) and locate the rider that had a strange placement and time in the Giro d'Italia overall standings.
6. Find the column (like the ones named "IDcyclist", "gene_sz_lastname" and so on) called race_b_withdrawal.
7. Check the race_b_withdrawal box for the rider causing the problem. He will probably not be registered for the Giro d'Italia in the first place, it's quite strange, but even so: Check the race_b_withdrawal box.
8. Export the savegame to cdb the same way you would do after any other use of Lachi's Editor.
9. Reload your savegame (using Load => Opening your savegame, not just "Load last saved game" ) and try playing the Giro d'Italia ITT again.
Please let me know if this method works for you. I'm Norwegian, so feel free to ask any questions in Danish (or Swedish for that matter). I have finished the Giro now without any problems.

I tried with Lachi's editor, I checked the "race_b_withdrawal" box on Petacchi (He's causing the problem) I export on cdb, so I click on "Carica" and I select the carreer I trie to do the ITT but i can't finish it, it crashes! |

I have a problem, for me it's not possible to load the files that I create on Lachi's Editor, maybe the problem is the next.. this is the difference from what I can see when I click on "Load" in PCM to what I see when I click on "Weekly Saves"
Cavendish, Froome, Sagan PERFECT!

The career saves don't belong in the weeklysave folder. I have posted the save game folder 214 times before, so please excuse my lazyness this time. |

It is probably a random crash. The problem aren't you, nor probably something went wrong, it is a random crash. Try reloading it and see if happens again

The game might crash when you click the mouse while the stage is loading.
Just wait until it has loaded.
Can you play this stage in the stage mode? |

I thinked I resolved the problem of a rider with a negative time in the standings, in my case the rider is Petacchi, but the strange thing is that He isn't in OPQS team in my giro d'Italia
For this reason I cannot play the 19 ITT stage of Giro..
Cavendish, Froome, Sagan PERFECT!

Sorry, I cannot follow. On the previous page it was explained how to remove a rider from the race. If you did that, then obviously he is not in the race any longer???? |

This is a wonderful thread. I have just run into the same problems and here are the symptoms described so I can check I have the same problem. There is even a way to fix it already documented. THANK YOU XOTOS!
In my case the odd rider in the standings was Sebastian Reichenbach at IAM, who had - 13 Seconds yet was at 45th place in the GC. He was not in my team so it took a while to locate him, |
