Antonio Colom suspended for EPO positive
I_Mayo
Team Katusha's Antonio Colom has been provisionally suspended by the UCI following a positive test for recombinant EPO.

Suprise or not ?

Want to hear your opinion.

Surprising? No. He rode for Caisse and Bruyneel.

But his results didn't really improve this year. He's done better before.

What? When?

Results 2009:
Vuelta a Mallorca
Trofeo Sóller
Stage 3, Volta ao Algarve
Stage 8, Paris-Nice - 5th overall
2nd, Vuelta al País Vasco overall

I don't think he's quite had this level before, he would have probably ridden a ridicously strong tour tooWink

Biathlon
Daaamn Colom was so cool.

A question from an fan ignorant about doping:

It is interesting to note a ton of riders who have left Bruyneel's team have tested positive after they've left, but who's to say they only test positive because Johan is good at covering it up? More often than not, they leave to enter a leader role for a team and then test positive.

All of the major doping cases that have come from Astana have come from riders who were on the team before Bruyneel showed up.

Just a question, not an argument.

ruben
Johan is the master of covering it up.

Biathlon
Dont blame Bruyneel! Thats just stupid.

Why is that so stupid? He's DS on the most suspicios team in the world of cycling. When people leave they tend to get caught. DS's are responsable for a lot of doping, not on all teams but on some.

Yes I hear this quite often, and I just want to know how people reach this conclusion? Is it simply because riders who leave his team are then busted?

Oh my, drugs in cycling. I would never have thought it would happen. Btw did he sign that 5 year worth of wage thing?

amazing sping it was..almost managed to repeat all he's lifetime palmares inside one spring.
But EPO ?..just stupid

Wiggo
That's the whole point, he covers it up brilliantly, so when they leave they get caught. (To biathlon)
