McCormick and Ulriksen Sports are pleased to announce the return of Baltimore-based McCormick & Company as the primary sponsor of McCormick Pro Cycling. McCormick Pro Cycling is a long-term project to build a significant American cycling team.
Team manager Ulrich Ulriksen welcomed the news, "We are thrilled to continue with McCormick as sole major sponsor. The deal was sealed after our 3rd stage win at the Tour of America but I didn't tell the boys figuring they would keep on pushing, and it worked".
McCormick Pro Cycling also announced that their oustanding jersey desinger, Hillis, has refreshed the McCormick look as the team enters its 7th season. The new jersey combines the traditional McCormick color scheme with a splashy new design.
The team also acknowledged two significant riders leaving the squad. First Larry Warbasse will not return next season. Warbasse was the team's rider-of-the-year in 2022. Said Ulriksen, "Larry was instrumental in our promotion and in helping us get established at the PCT level. We wish him the best of luck in his next endeavor" Also, the team did not renew the contract of Marco Haller. Haller scored 2 wins at the Tour of America in 2024, capturing the all time record for stage wins in the race. Ulriksen said, "When Marco came on board from Kraftwerk we all understood it would likely be for one season, Marco made the most of that season and will always be welcome on the McCormick team bus".
Roman Sieigle and Lorenzo Rota were also released. The team thanks them for their commitment.
McCormick looks forward to the rest of the offseason and a successful 2025 season.

We’d be perfectly happy to go into next season with all these riders. But there are a few we aren't sure how they fit into our long term plans and will at least be considering options:
Quinn Simmons
Johannes Staune-Mittet
Adam Yates
Pierre Barbier
Jhonatan Narvaez
The rest of the squad is likely to stay but we are always open to ideas.

I really have to compete with your team next year? Damn me
I am surprised about a few names you consider at least when offers come in. I need to see whats possible for me but some names are really interesting to me.
Oh and great work of Hillis, i like the shirt of this season!

Maybe? Maybe there is a scenario where I could part with Wright?

Love the jersey,!
Looks to be a busy transfer period coming up for you - crazy exodus of US riders with McNulty and Simmons potentially leaving in consecutive seasons, never thought i'd see the day. It makes sense with your approach, hopefully Simmons and co. can fetch you a nice sum.
Have to say that although it makes zero sense, having Yates make a return to Indonesia would make me very happy - maybe him and his buddy Mohammed could join him

Some pretty crazy moves on the horizon for you potentially, will probably have some feelers being put out over the course of the window to figure out what your status is going to be.

Those are some very interesting names available! Suspect they may prove too expensive for my new era of post-relegation austerity, but will definitely be in touch |

@bbl: Quinn was kind of an accidental purchase, really though I would get overbid, so he doesn't count.
@Ezee: Think there are some other teams you should be more worried about.
@Red; What if I packaged all 5 of available riders? Well OK not Barbier, that's going to far.
@Ember/@Hills - Happy to host a Norwegian bidding war for you.
@Eden - Mohammad and Adam are really good buddies.
@WJ - There is room for Canadians at the Norwegian bidding war banquet.
@Ahbi - Is it a rebuild or am I just confused?
@JPH - I once made a deal termed the worst in mangame history and it wasn't the McNulty trade, so you never know.
Thanks for the comments on the jersey and to Hillis for recognizing it was about time and doing it.

Sounds suspicious. Maybe we have a natter in the next few days

McCormick Pro Cycling are pleased to announce their first signings of the new season, Juan Osorio and Brandon Rodriguez.
Manager Ulrich Ulriksen noted about Osorio: "We identified Juan as a target from the moment we started work on our transfer planning, he checks so many boxes, just a great, professional bike rider who expands our representation from Colombia, a target for the team. Juan will be a key support ride for both Ivan [Sosa] and Adam [Yates} but should also get some leadership opportunities.
On Rodriguez: "We have wanted a rider of his type for a few years and the unfortunate dissolution of Manada-Coyote made him availalbe. Once he reaches his peak we think he has a real chance to be a major disrupter in the flat classics or be a leadout man for our sprinters."
McCormick continues to pursue a number of opportunities in the transfer market and expects to announce more singings in the coming days.

Rodriguez looks a really fun rider for the future, hopefully we'll manage to get a profile like that sometime! Looking forward to seeing the full squad, as Ezee says, it's pretty daunting matching up against a roster starting off like yours.

McCormick announces 6 more signings for the 2025. Acquisitions include veteran sprinters Aliaksandr Riabushenko and Jingbiao Zhao and young sprinter Cesar Macias as well as all-rounders Nils Eekhoff and Dorian Godon and stagiaire Cole Kessler. Eekhoff and Godon were acquired from Grieg and Gazelle, respectively, while the others were all free agent signings. Eekhoff was acquired in an exchange for Johannes Staune-Mittet, McCormick wishes Staune-Mittet luck in his continued development.
Said team manager Ulrich Ulriksen. "McCormick has always had a more evolutionary than revolutionary approach to team building. No major changes for us this offseason but we think these riders help give us a more rounded squad. Particularly in the sprints we expect to be more competitive this year. Riabushenko and Zhao give us two fast men with complementary skill sets and while our focus this year wasn't young riders when we had a chance to get Macias we had to take it. McCormick has never developed a sprinter before. We are also very happy to have experienced PT riders like Eekhoff and Godon who will both be key domestiques but also have a chance to lead in races that fit their balanced skill sets." Ulriksen also noted that "Macias and Kessler represent the team's continued commitments to the development of American riders."
The team expects limited additional offseason activity but is always involved in ongoing discussions with other teams.

Solid pickups in Riab and Zhao for the sprints. Have always like Eekhoff's statline, thats probably going to be a discussion for the future
Macias looks promising as well!

Solid additions, but not sure they're quite enough to lift the team out of the midtable spots. Of course the still TBA training might just do that
