Generally the best DB making tool would be Advanced Editor. |

That said, there's lots of tools available: Hannes Editor is the easiest for new guys like you. Hannes Converter and Advanced Editor can do pretty much the same things, but they both have their advantages and disadvantages. All tools are available from the download section. |

Equipment is fairly straightforward once you know how - I've spent the last week or so working it out, with most help from the guys at Vizlefx.
Use an exsisting DB as a model, make sure you have the graphics files in the right folders (eg CM_textures, CM_meshes) and then all you need to do is edit the following tables:
STA_equipment, STA_equipment_marques & STA_TGA
Also DYN_team table, if you want to link equipment to frames. |

I use the Advanced Editor for pretty much everything. |

Yes, with the Advanced Editor, you can copy and paste lines which may be useful when adding equipment. I'd recommend using that tool. |

Open STA_race and delete the line with the race you don't want to be in the DB |

Pretty much the same way.
I'd recommend using the Advanced Editor.
Open STA_race and add a line for a new race. Just copy an existing one and change the race name to begin with. Also change the ID, and make sure not to change it to one which already exists.
Next, you need to add the stages in STA_stage.
Should be pretty self-explanatory if you have a look at it |

Okej , thanks , but i have another question .
I'm playing for example in season two and have come to the year 2009 how do you add races like you get a fantasy tour with your own stages that year, instead of the same as last year ? |

Well, you can easily make variants even without editing the DB. Have a look in this folder: Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2008\CM_Stages\variant
If there's already a variant for the race you want to edit, you will need to change that variant. if there's no variant files for the race, you can either make one or just overwrite the stage files in CM_stages. If you do the latter, you will also need to open STA_stage and change the stage details (time trial or road race; mountain, hilly or flat; distance, uphill sprint etc.). |

A question more , when we are at it .
How do you change the start date , if you want the game to start in like 1960 or so ? |

It's there. Believe me. It's NOT the folder in My Documents - it's the one in Program Files. |

It depends. If you're starting a new career in 2008, you can make a variant. This means that in 2009, a new route will show up. You can read about it in the folder I mentioned (Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2008\CM_Stages\variant). |
