Editorial:
Spoiler
Level Extreme, Will only pause when necessary for screenshots, not allowed to use dot in groups >5 riders - this rule was dropped makes it too hard - but will limit dot as much as possible, but have to use it on hard uphill sections not to fall back.

Will mainly play real-time in races with Anton, most other races simulated or automated. Although I may choose to follow one or two other teammates as a side story.
Will let the game chose as much as possible but might take over training and schedule if the game #¤W%& up too much.
In the DailyDB2021 changes Anton’s potential from 5-6 but lowered all his starting stats with approx. 2 – to flatten out his development.

As oppose to my previous story’s, will try to keep this simple – basically just report the races.
Team Result: Even though there may be screenshots - was automated/simulated race
“Riders Name”: Was playing as that rider (not automated), other riders still automated most of the time. [/i]

Since my last update Kristoffer Halvorsen delivered another fine result for the team as 3rd in Race Torquay

My current form is quite bad, but the team has a tight schedule in the beginning of February. Management have decided to send me to Saudi Tour 2/2 – 6/2.
The profile in Saudi is quite flat and honestly, I’m looking forward to my 2nd race Tour of Antalya where I might do a lot better.

The team for Saudi Tour lacks a competitive sprinter, our only option is in the breakaway’s. As such I’m not a free-riders and can only attack if and when other have failed.

Saudi Tour - Stage 1: Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee – Jaww

The first stage is actually a bit undulated, favoring the punchier sprinters. Iver Skaarseth seeking to join the early moves but does not make it. After about 60 km where the team haven’t managed to get a rider into the many accelerations, I give it a go.

i.imgur.com/Lhv7ixI.jpg

The other riders in the breakaway are relative weak and does not contribute much, it was mainly just me against the pack. We make it past both intermediate sprints. I’m 2 and the first and 1st at the last, that fact that both was uphill helped a lot.

i.imgur.com/PBPrHFK.jpg

We got swallowed by the pack. The stage was won by Stephen Williams (Bahrain) in front of Daryl Impey (Israel Start-Up) and Filippo Fiorelli (Bardiani)

Harvesting bonus seconds, I’m 3rd in GC after the stage. None of us made a stage top 10, but we did not lose time either.

Torstein Træen came 7th at the first stage of Volta a Valenciana, the stage was won by Alberto Bettiol (EF Education).

Saudi Tour - Stage 2: Sadus Castle - Riyadh Turki Road

i.imgur.com/fdb8daM.jpg

After the usual turmoil we ended with a breakaway of four, most prominent Michael Schär from AG2R, he took 18 sprint points before the peloton swallowed the break.
My only task was holding our better sprinters as close to the front as possible near the end of the race. It is me in the youth jersey although I’m just 2nd in the competition.

i.imgur.com/OB6E3rm.jpg

The stage was won by Filippo Fiorelli (Bardiani) in front Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain) and Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE). Our best was Iver Skaarseth 9th. Filippo Fiorelli leads the GC with a small margin of just 4 seconds.

Torstein Træen came 13th at the 2nd stage of Volta a Valenciana, the stage was again won by Alberto Bettiol (EF Education). Træen is now 4th in GC.
We are also in Jayco Herald Sun Tour, so far without noteworthy results.

Saudi Tour - Stage 3: King Saud University - Al Bujairi

i.imgur.com/n72uSy5.jpg

About mid-stage our Torjus Sleen attacked on a steep uphill section, and after some time united with the leading group. But the distance was just 2-3 minutes and the pack had no difficulties reeling the escapees in.

i.imgur.com/xfSpbl6.jpg

The finish was quite difficult and that seemingly came to our advantage. Although I was only part of the early preparations, we are all proud that Iver Skaarseth came 4th today.
The stage was won by Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE) he also took a slender lead in the GC, 4 seconds in front of Filippo Fiorelli 2nd and Daniel McLay 3rd. Our best in GC is still me as 10th.

Kristoffer Halvorsen came 12th at the 3rd stage of Volta a Valenciana, Træen is still 4th in GC.
The stage was won by Iván García Cortina (Movistar Team). In GC Alberto Bettiol (EF Education) lead in front of Bauke Mollema (Trek) and Rigoberto Urán (EF Education).

Still nothing noteworthy in Jayco Herald Sun Tour

Saudi Tour - Stage 4: Wadi Namar Park - Al Muzahimiyah King Saud University

The team was more active today, first Sindre Kulset attempted to join the early breakaway. Later I attacked over the two hard uphill sections, to get as many bonus seconds as possible, my mission was a success, I won the 2nd sprint.

After I was caught and much to my surprise, Torjus Sleen * attempted a late attack from about 10 km, but never got far away from the pack.
The stage was won by Brandon McNulty (UAE), our best was Iver Skaarseth 10th.
Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE) leads the GC. With the bonus seconds I got, I moved up to 9th

4th stage of Volta a Valenciana was a disaster for the team, all our riders lost a lot of time. Hermann Pernsteiner (Bahrain) won the stage. Alberto Bettiol (EF Education) still leads the GC.

Still nothing noteworthy in Jayco Herald Sun Tour

Saudi Tour – Final Stage 5: Princess Nouri University - Al Masmak.xls

i.imgur.com/QNTvmwT.jpg

I had a 100% domestic role today. A traditional sprinter stage, where the breakaway never really stood a chance. The team did fine in the sprint Jonas Abrahamsen 6th and Idar Andersen 8th.

The stage was won by Mauri Vansevenant (Quick Step)
I finished 11th in the final GC, a bit disappointing after moving up to 9th yesterday.

The race was won by Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE) with 10 seconds to Filippo Fiorelli (Bardiani) and Daniel McLay (Arkéa – Samsic)

Tour of Antalya – Stage 1: Antalya - Antalya

i.imgur.com/kUbWDty.jpg

In Antalya, I have got a different role. Torstein Træen is our best climber, Torjus Sleen and I have partly free roles, although we will off course first and foremost support his GC.

To mention some of our stronger competitors: Jai Hindley (Team DSM), Giulio Ciccone (Trek), Esteban Cháves (BikeExchange).

Several break groups form in front of the bunch. Jonas Iversby Hvideberg is part of it, but at the foot of today’s Hors catégorie, only 6 riders in a group having about 3 minutes to the pack.

Little by little the group is distilled down to just Anatoliy Budyak (Spor Toto), who is a rather decent climber.

i.imgur.com/2dKix4o.jpg

With 1.3 km to the KoM, I see an opening to get some points for the King of the Mountains jersey.

i.imgur.com/mkIPD4v.jpg

I did not catch Anatoliy Budyak in time to get the maximum points. To my surprise I hear in my headset, that also Torjus Sleen (*) has attacked the Pack and is getting closer. I would have expected him to stay with Torstein Træen, but I am off course glad to get some help.

Soon we are also joined by Filippo Zaccanti and Alessandro Monaco from Bardiani and Stanislau Bazhkou from Minsk Cycling Club. We got less that a minute with more that 20 km left, really have to work together to make this work out.

i.imgur.com/ayttodf.jpg

Torjus Sleen has to close down attacks from Stanislau Bazhkou and Anatoliy Budyak after which he has to let go. At the same time, it starts to look more and more as if we can reach the finish first.

A very close finish, I believe I did what a could but Bardiani used their numbers well, Filippo Zaccanti won the stage and leads the GC.
2nd is a great result, I am happy with that.

Tour of Antalya – Stage 2: Antalya - Antalya

i.imgur.com/vOZjnhp.jpg

The 2nd stage In Antalya, is classified as flat but with a long cat.1 relative early. As 2nd in KoM, I am free to attack. With just a few riders out in front and not very far, I attack from the foot of the climb.

i.imgur.com/2AYPKNI.jpg

Somewhat surprising there is no reaction. I easily catch the riders in front of me and takes the KoM lead.

i.imgur.com/lYeXMeU.jpg

Over the intermediate sprint I can no longer follow the high pace in the breakaway. I’m stuck between the break and the pack and forced to fall back.

Søren Wærenskjold had perfect legs today and we made a train for him, but the train exploded in the final chaos. Our best was Anders Skaarseth 11th.
The stage was won by Alexis Renard (Israel).

Strong ride on Stage 1! Is Anton the GC leader now or still Træen?

Tamijo
Anton is currently 4th in GC, but Torstein Træen is the better climber for the coming mountain ITT, so he is still considered Team Captain.
