Here's an off-season surprise for the MG - the return of the Continental Championships for the first time since 2017. National team kits have been refreshed, ready for the new competition.
These will be raced in PCM18, and no timescales are available over when the races will be posted - but it will be spread over a few weeks most likely, and I'll give some warning here first for each one.
First up will be a Championships that have never really been possible to take place before. It may only be of direct interest to a few managers, but hopefully the racing will be interesting to more! We'll be heading to  Curacao for the Caribbean Championships.

Surprising return, didn't see this coming. But of course it's more than welcome back to the Conti's!
Obviously i'm excited about the Caribbean race above all others, but also we should see some fun action from Africa & Asia with their different rider sets that don't often get to shine.

Awesome! Huge publicity for Curacao cycling here, obviously we couldn't ask for more than that! Sulvaran and Cannister are ready for the chance to prove themselves one more time on home soil!

The road race will include free agents, to boost the team and field sizes. The TT will be contracted riders only.

If hill outweighs mountain by a bit then we could have a shot at Africa at least, otherwise not expecting wins or even pushing close by any of my guys - but either way still very much looking forward to these, great idea to bring them back, thanks to the team, this was a very cool surprise Hope the racing is good with the WC AI, should be.

Interesting race, it makes me wonder if the other continents will also be divided in smaller regions (Scandinavia? Balkans? Middle East would be awesome as well!).
Also literaly no rider I know in there. No more De Maar or Gene in there, the French islands don't even participate anymore

The Caribbean putting on a fascinating show, tense and close racing. Proving you don't need stand out stats, just a die hard nature and burning passions to race hard.
Jyme Bridges has been slowly chipping his way into the wider consciousness of the MG, and had probably his best year last season. To kick of 2021 with the Continental Road Race is brilliant for the double NC Champion.
Akil Campbell is off to a good start on his T3A career with a strong second place. Not really a puncher, but clearly a strong man who'll also be hoping to Podium in the TT.
Nate Alexander & Kemp Orosco will be happy with the team showing, but disappointed to not be the top Trinidad finisher on this route. But the two Stagiares making an early case for longer term contracts.
Croes & Hasani will also be furious to have slipped away at the end and perhaps will be considering if their tactics were wrong on the day.
Jay Major in 70th is fun as probably the highest OVL Caribbean rider, but he's very much not a climber and will be eyeing a flatter route in the future.
Kristin Vanderpool riding well in the breakaway, showing she's clearly got good legs ahead of the TT where she is desperate to win!
Applause and commiserations to Marcos & Sulvaran as the other major contracted Caribbean's, who'll both be wanting a re-do having missed out on medals.

Awesome racing! Thank you so much for that. Quite a dynamic race there, albeit less selective than I anticipated.
No regrets for my guys. Sulvaran attacked at a good time and seemed strong, but he just couldn't break away. Once it seemed determined to go to a small group sprint, I knew that he had little chance at a result. So instead, he helps amateur Mosquea, a mentor to him, nab a spot on the podium! As a committed domestique he knows that his teammates' success is his success, so it's basically just as good as if he podiumed himself.
Huge congrats to TMM, who gets his first payoff for his Carribean venture! And thanks again SN for putting it together!
