Hate to have this as a first message, but do you know guys that your website was hacked on july and the db dumped?
I see no communciations in merit on the site, i just found that my mail and my credentials was dumped in july from here, i can't find the original dump but there is for sure, here are some details:

This is unconfirmed, but my mail was found by the website in that dump, so please do something like sending an email to all the user for a rapid password change, and let us know what you can do to improve the security, if you need an hand, as far as i can help.

Guys, everyone's mail was hacked if you are signed up on daily. I got in touch with SN though, it's nothnig serious. There's no need to change your passwords because they're encrypted - it's highly reccomended to change those periodically though - or worry about anything email related. If anything, you might receive spam emails because the hackers probably will sell them to some mailing lists.

Also, the only password they would have had access to would have been the daily password. And what would have they done with that? Post porn on here from my account? I can do that myself, but I don't want to scare you guys.

On a serious note: The site software is old and outdated, the same goes for the security behind it. If you wish to hack this site, I imagine it's pretty easy for someone who knows what he's doing. But passwords are, of course, encrypted. |

The core software is old. It has actually been maintained and is running the latest stable version, which is v7.02.07 from 2013, but that's also a very long time ago. Especially for an open source system.
The system definitely has same flaws, and ideally, you should never have the same password on any two sites.
However, unless your password here and everywhere else is 'abc123', there's nothing to worry about, besides the spam mails some people are experiencing. |
