After a 4-year absence from the sport, Bob Stapleton has anounced today that his team will comeback for 2016 season.
The team would compete in World Tour, taking the 20th and last slot in World Tour, after the newly published regulation from the UCI, which increase the number of teams to 20. Also, it included the increase of WT races, with races as California, OHN, Strade, Britain, RideLondon, Japan Cup, Paris-Tours and Madrid being upgraded to World Tour
The main sponsor will be anounced in the following days. The team will have a license
HTC IS BACK!
The Taiwan's based brand will make his return to cycling, sponsoring Bob Stapleton's team.
In the past, HTC was also sponsor of Stapleton's team between July, 2009 and 2011. During that time, the team won 151 races, including 16 Tour stages, 12 Vuelta stages, 5 Giro stages, 1 Milano-San Remo, 1 Paris-Nice, 1 World Championship and 1 ITT World Championship
More announcements will be done in the few days
I will play this career as DS. I mean, I will do all the management stuff, but tecnically, I won't be controlling my riders, just setting the tactics, and put all the riders in auto in 3D mode
For a fair competition, I will be playing in normal

Taylor Phinney
The 25-year-old is the first signing of HTC-HighRoad for 2016 season. He will join our squad for the next two seasons
He has been riding for BMC Racing Team the last 5 season, since he became a pro rider after being stagiere for RadioShack in 2010
After winning the 2011 Eneco Tour prologue, and finishing forth overall, in 2012 he made his breakthrough season, winning Giro d'Italia prologue, and leading the race three days. He impressed in the Olympics, by finishing forth in both Road and Time Trial races. But maybe his most important result of the season was the silver medal in UCI ITT World Championship, being just six seconds shy of Golden Tony Martin.
In 2013 he could just finish fifth in the ITT Worlds. Earlier that season he won a stage in Tour de Pologne
But all wasn't going to be success. Just after being crowned as Usa ITT Champion, he crashed in the Road Race, heavily injuring his knee and tibia.
Today, he has returned to racing in Tour of Utah, taking an increible third place in today's stage, after having not raced for more than a year
In this team we think that he has the potential to return to his best level. His season goals will be the cobbled classics, before taking part in the Tour de France. In the last part of the season, he will focus on ITT Worlds

Bob Jungels
HTC-HighRoad has signed Bob Jungels, 22, in a 3-year contract.
He's the reigning RR and ITT Luxembourg champion, which he also won both in 2013. This year has won the Etoile de Besseges, after winning final TT in Ales
The current Trek rider, where he has been riding for in his 3 years as pro rider, is a powerful rider, who can perform in all terrains. In the recent Tour de France he did an impressive race, being several times in mountain breakaway
Brent Bookwalter
HTC-HighRoad welcomes 31-year-old Brent Bookwalter. The American rider joins the team for 2016 season, as a rider who can perform well enough in mountain to be a good helper for the leaders.
Until now, he's been a one-team rider, as since he turned pro in 2008, he has been riding for BMC Racing Team.
He only have one win as pro rider, in the first stage of 2013 Tour of Qatar.
This year he finished forth in Tour of Austria, and recently has ended third in Tour of Utah

Juan Jose Lobato
HTC-HighRoad is happy to anounce that we have reached an agreement with Spanish sprinter Juan Jose Lobato for the next two seasons.
The current Movistar rider was born in Trebujena, Andalucia, Spain in 1988. His most important win is a stage in this year's Tour Down Under.
He became professional in 2010, with Andalucia-Caja Sur, being a stagiere. In his first complete year, he won Circuito de Getxo, and made his debut in a GT.
In his last season with Andalucia before joining Euskaltel-Euskadi, he won a stage in Qinghai Lake.
With Euskaltel he rode Tour de France, finishing in top5 in stage 6. After that he won again Circuito de Getxo.
When he moved to Movistar for 2014 season, he surprise everybody by finishing forth in Milano-San Remo. He also won stages in Wallonie and Burgos. His last wins were in this year's Vuelta a Andalucia, after winning two stages.
Lobato is set to be the main sprinter in 2016 Vuelta a España.

@DiCyc @murao22 Thanks both for your words. I think you will like even more future signings
Logan Owen
HTC-HighRoad has signed fast-men Logan Owen, 20, in a 2-year contract.
Recent winner of one stage in Tour of Utah, the American currently rides for Axeon Cycling Team, a continental team who helps American young riders to develop before going into World Tour
He was a very succesful rider in Juniors, when he was forth in 2013 World Championship, and second in 2013 Course de la Paix
Adrien Costa
Another promising young American joins HTC-HighRoad squad. Adrien Costa, still 18-year-old, has won uncountable races in his junior time, including a silver medal in last year ITT World Championship.
The teenager will joins our team for the next two years, in which we hope that he could develop into a future GT winner

In which manner did you edit the riders? and did you really base it on the EP with stats under 60?
However great signings, especially Costa will go mental...Let's see where JJ performs better, in your or in my team

I have checked it, and the original DB was 2015 EP V1.
In my DB, the worst rider has a AVG of 56, and every single rider who has a contract with any team, at least has 60 of AVG.
For example, best riders in MON have 84 (Froome and Quintana), in VAL Valverde and Martin have 81. In TT Dumoulin has 82. In SPR Kittel has 83, Cav and Greipel 82 |
