Well to add some real news.
Pozzato has announced his retirement at the end of 2017! He aims to become a director sportif afterwards.
For this season his main aim is the win in the Ronde Vlaanderen. |

but it's tradition to not post news in the first post and if I did I would have spread misinformation cause I thought I just read that Innsbrück would host the 2018 road worlds championships.  (it the Cyclocross worlds though)

Except it is the Road Worlds, so...
the UCI Management Committee has decided to award the 2018 UCI Road World Championships to the city of Innsbruck, Austria.

And it's official: Really happy for my home town. I'm sure they'll make a great course for puncheurs and climbers with the numerous hills and mountains in our area. I wonder how much tourism and cycling can profit from it, generally cycling is pretty popular sport in Tyrol so I expect lots of people at the sideline.

Dayer Quintana will ride the Giro and try to help Don Alejandro to win or at least podium. Says he has some bad memories about the Giro and he was extremely disappointed in himself, but that he has worked well with Nairo and looks forward to this season and it better this year. |

Jure Kocjan with the 2nd positive test of the year being caught for EPO. Or more accurate it was in March 2012. No idea what happened since then and why it was re-tested now.
I mean he is riding for the third different team since the positive sample. |

Will his current team get any compensation seeing as the offence took place 3/4 years ago? I guess they'll have grounds to sue him for the earnings already paid and a loss of any future earnings. |
