Time to reveal the wildcards that PCT teams have received for PT races. Starting with the Grand Tours!
Grand Tour applications were particularly popular with the newly promoted teams this year, so I decided to use last year's final rankings position as an important factor in the decision making. Teams who have previously ridden a GT get a lower priority, and in this case, more than 6 teams with no GT experience applied. Great to see such interest in riding the biggest races.
Giro d'Italia
Two teams who are now embarking on their 3rd season in the game have received a wildcard for the Giro. Children of Chernobyl Foundation p/b Nemiroff and ONCE – Eroski.
Vuelta a Espana
Signing the Spanish champion is a good way to get a Grand Tour spot, particularly when it is Alberto Contador. Along with 2nd place in CT last year, it's enough to secure a spot for Bonsucro. Joining them are the Spanish Buff - Polska team, the highest ranked team from last year to apply for a wildcard.
Tour de France
The Orange of Euskaltel - Air France will grace a grand tour for the first time in the ManGame. They rider here alongside last year's Continental champions, Grupo Nutresa.
Other races will be revealed later.

Grupo Nutresa are greatly honoured to receive a wildcard entry to the most prestiguous race in cycling - the Tour de France. Team management would like to express our gratitude to the MGUCI, and the race organisers. The whole of Colombia will be ecstatic to have a home team to follow throughought the race - we apologise in advance for the likely increase of crazy radio commentators up and down the finish-line broadcast gantry!
Nutresa propose to bring a minimum of 4 Colombian riders to feature at the heart of the line-up, including rising young stars Eduard Alexander Beltran (Colombian national champion) and new signing from the now defunct Allianz-BMW team, Johan Esteban Chaves. Nutresa's star signings for 2015, team leaders Andrew Talansky and Domenik Klemme are also expected to be at the start line for this year's kick-off in Bern, Switzerland.

Brajkovic at the Giro will be very interesting (I guess he will ride ).
Contador at the Vuelta is a no-brainer, and it is nice to see. I guess he will still be able to fight for a top 5, though I doubt his podium days are over. Abal should be able to get another top 10 also.
What I am most intrigued by is to see Valls as a leader at the Tour. He has been very locked up by Madrazo and Tenorio the past seasons, while he is actually a very very nice rider.

Obviously I had small hopes to get one of those 6 wildcards. But obviously this was almost impossible. So I am looking forward to the other races.
Congrats to all 6 of you. Should be a lot of fun for you. |

Congrats to all of you who got wildcards, i am of course especially happy that Children of Chernobyl foundation team will ride the Giro. After last years wildcard for Metinvest there, this year will feature two ukrainian teams on the startlist of this fantastic GT!
Contador and his team were sure and expected wildcard material i would say, i am curious to see what he will do there. I hope not much.

Fantastic, the one we wanted and having a load of Spanish speakers/sponsors the one that made sense.

We will see. Some good sprints and a big show from Contador is what we are after. A BIG SHOW with all the nationality bonus we can handle. |

Yes Ukraine's lover affair with the Giro continues
Always good to have a GC contender amongst the entrants and the Vuelta has a rider that in ManGame terms is probably a bit of a fan favourite at the Vuelta, a sort of modern day Pou-Pou in Contador. Not a great VUELTA for him with the TT's he will need to attack the chrono experts (You'd predict Phinney and Gesink to go there).
Bonsucro and Euskatel to the tour should light things up in the climbs both teams have done so spectacularly in the CT and really nice to see those two successful teams rewarded.
For all the bravado about getting best teams in team standings there really is nothing like riding in a GT. Actually winning one is just a great feeling and unfortunately has made me even more big-headed then ever. Winning a stage as well is a big thing and a real chance for Wildcards who can put their best riders in without RaceDay worries. Best of luck Alarcon will be waiting for you

Great news to see we got into the Tour!
By far the biggest race of the last two seasons and hopefully we can spice it up a lot

Congrats to those teams getting a GT spot, especially Bonsucro and Nutressa, two of my rivals that were in CT with me last season.

Congrats everyone. Getting to ride a GT for the first time is great fun. Hope all of you honour those races by sending all your best riders there and leaving PCT races mostly with mediocre leaders eheh

Same here. I mean it's good to have some PCT leaders occupied with other things, but it's always awesome to have your team in a GT, especially when not on PT. Damn you teams-which-haven't-participated-in-previous-GTs

Giro for Brajko it is then
Great to get a GT wildcard, especially as I only were interested in and applied for GT's.
Would be a shame if Brajko wouldnt race a GT in his last year at top aswell, so kinda had to keep that in mind so I didn't spend my last dollar in TS.
Congrats to the other participants and I gotta say it's a pretty sweet selection of teams that got in.

Wee! Our first GT ever, will probably try to start with at least 6 Ukrainian riders, including my homegrown talents Prevar and Topchanyuk (Yes, I've had them loaned out, but still), New leader Krasnoperov and Ukrainian champion Polivoda. Remaining 4 places undecided, but it's likely that my talents Lobov and Orlov will also start

Congrats to all teams accepted! We had our turn last season, riding the Giro along with plenty of smaller PT races. Was a fun experience, so hopefully you all get at least one nice result or moment from your GT. |

Now moving on to Monuments, where 10 teams applied for at least one of the races. Fortunate then, that there were 10 spaces available!
Milano San Remo | Buff - Polska | Prio - Porto | Ronde van Vlaanderen | AMEX - Navigon | Team Bpost | Paris - Roubaix | Azteca - NBCSN | Evonik - ELKO | Liege- Bastogne - Liege | Bank of Ireland | Grupo Nutresa | Giro di Lombardia | Aegon - Lavazza | Swedbank - PEAB |
Some notable rider appearances here are that Belgian duo Pieter Vanspeybrouck and Jerome Baugnies will ride Ronde van Vlaanderen, while Tom Boonen's continued presence at Paris-Roubaix is guaranteed, alongside Danny Summerhill.
The Liege field will be boosted by the presence of Jay McCarthy and Domenik Klemme, while the Lavazza sponsorship get to ride an Italian race in Giro di Lombardia.

Lombardia surely not the most suited profile for my star puncheurs but it suits my Italian sponsors and is a nice opportunity to shine or hopefully celebrate in the last race day of the year.
Vanmarcke takes motivation out of this to dominate the PCT cobbles then to be back in the biggest races next year.
Very nice to see 10 different teams getting monuments here.

Nice
Boonen simply belongs to the biggest cobbled classics so it's great to see him again in Paris roubaix.
I like many of the other wildcard selections as well. Some great riders to participate in the monuments.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!
