With a short prologue, mountain tt, and 2 hill rated stages - this is always a bit of an unpredictable race.
The riders with the best Mountain/Hill combination in the race are:
| Mo | Hill | Úran | 82 | 74 | Berhane | 78 | 75 | Bibby | 77 | 76 | Cataldo | 78 | 75 | Ji | 78 | 75 | Lövkvist | 78 | 75 | Cobo | 76 | 77 | Gerdemann | 76 | 76 | Hoogerland | 75 | 77 | Kangert | 75 | 76 | Marzano | 78 | 73 | Nepomnyachsniy | 77 | 74 | Efimkin | 72 | 79 | Pedraza | 79 | 72 | Dyachenko | 76 | 74 | Zeits | 73 | 77 | Navarro | 77 | 72 | Nieve | 76 | 73 | Shushemoin | 74 | 75 | Sano | 75 | 74 |
Meanwhile these are the Top Sprinters:
| Sprint | Lo Cicero | 84 | Corioni | 80 | Kupfernagel | 80 | Mezgec | 79 | Corti | 78 | Andriato | 78 | Opie | 77 | Cucinotta | 77 | Nielsen | 77 |

One of my two C1 stage races, can't expect much. Only thing I can hope for is some breakaway luck. |

I was tempted to gamble on this race with Kelderman leading, but ultimately decided Fuji is too much of a climb to hope for the uncertainty of those hilly stages to play out in my favour.
It could pay off nicely the other way around for Bacardi with the TT win all but sealed up pre-race already as it seems, if you miss a decisive attack the race is gone though for everyone.
Also, did the part of the season start already in which I secretly hope my direct opponents don't score well?

The goal is to win many stages and hopefully a Top 5. Stage 2 I am going to guess will be too hard for Lo Cicero but 6 looks perfect for him, and I need a stage win to make me feel a little better about this season.

Big race for Jaguar with both Bibby and Berhane here. Bibby did everything but win last year, it is a really good route for him.

You have so many team leaders here - Efimkin, Ji, Lo Cicero. I am curious to see how PCM deals with that.

Well when I only have one leader things seem to go badly, so 3 leaders cant be any worse

Surprised to see so many good climbers, here. I sent Craven here as my captain, and I really believe he has a shot at a good GC placement even though he is a much weaker climber than those mentioned in the preview. Hopefully he will be able to take some time on the hilly stages.
Corioni is well supported here for the last stage, which I think is the only one that will end in a mass sprint. Obviously beating Lo Cicero will be hard, but I'll cross my fingers for a stage win anyway!
Looking forward to read the reports!

second race for Gerdemann, will be difficult to repeat top 3 of Ukraine but the top10 must be perfectly within reach. was not waiting so much competition when it comes to sprints, Stage 3 should be out of reach with that hill so close to the end but in the last stage everything that is not the podium will be a disappointment.

Well I'm glad I didn't gamble on sending Reus here
Hoping for a win for Venchi or Bacardi ahead of us, or for one of the teams far behind us to win. Just not Meiji - nothing personal valv. |

Always find memories of this one, a great man game race. The hills normally decide things but with uran here perhaps the hill attacks will be controlled for the MTT?

This is a very interesting startlist. Should deliver a nice race even though I am a bit afraid of the AI on those criteriums.
Awesome effort SN to do this race alongside the Giro. |

I finally won a stage, and it turns into a 1-2.
I hope that the hilly stages aren't coimpletely random. This race looked like a decent idea at the start of the season, but with the way hilly places have played out this season, i'm getting a bit scared.

Have a feeling that Uran is pretty nailed on to win the Mt Fuji stage too!
But yes, who knows what PCM will throw up on the hills. Hopefully a battle amongst the GC riders.

12th and only 3seconds off is a good result for my super talent, definately a positive sign for his future development into one of the top prologue specialists in the future.

As long as a break doesn't win by 5 min on the hilly stages, i'll be looking forward to the battle.
But yeah, Uran should win the Fuji stage, and perhaps Grabovski/Pardilla can end up pretty high aswell.

This started more or less as expected, I have just Gerdemann for the general so hopefully my team bet on the breaks

Would't be too surprised if I found out some of my guys didn't make the time limit on todays prologue
This is a race I really have anticipated for a long time. It seems everything can happen here, it's a local race and this is also a goal for us. |
