It would probably be worth noting what time the race will be played before signing up?
And unlike the WC, I would suggest making them very late so that the amount of Americans on this site have no problems (Or a least less problems) joining!

I think it's important to clear up the rules about blocking, which blocks are allowed in which races. Admirschleck and BBL know that this went wrong on this WC. |

Its hard to make rules about blocking. The rule "any play to specifically undermine another player..." is my initial attempt at covering blocking. Purposeful blocking to prevent another player from scoring/advancing/etc should fall under this categorization. It allows flexibility for solid rider models, and for specific racing where blocking can be a legitimate tactic of gameplay.
It is much easier to judge on a case-by-case basis and then adapt the rules from there. Hopefully this should be sort out the problems the WC suffered. Also i don't expect the participants to be as serious and angry, because we are all friends

Yeah, it should be much easier than in the WC where we didn't really know each other.
Basically what we decided upon there was that if you are in a winning position you can block to hold it, but you can't specifically target other players just so they can't score. I think that would work here.

I do agree with this somewhat, but I think "strategical blocking" should be allowed. If you are say, in second place, you should be allowed to specifically block the first place player (in the final sprint of course).

Is there an approximate time for when the race will be held... Most people are from different timezones so letting people know in advance the time of day would be appreciated

They are collecting time zones int he entries so they can arrange the time. they said they could arrange groups to help the time zone crisis and play at different times.

normally most of complains come from the guys who seek free ride and then scream that he was blocked in the middle of the race or at the end
it happens that some guys attack and the guy where you stay in his wheel won't attack riding slow.it's a risk that you take
be agressive and risk you assume is fail a block on the others at the end of round/race
it's a skill when to take somebody wheel and when not
in every tactic is a risk
example: points race you are agressive and start sooner the sprint, the others came in line.of corse you block but you block 1 or 2 players and still you can't block and the other 4.you don't take no points
if you are more paticient and launch sprint with the majority, you take a risk because if 1-2 players are in front that attacked sooner you might end be blocked
elimination you think it's better to sit in somebody wheel and that guy won't launch his sprint, waiting and forcing you to attack and taking his chance shoulder to shoulder
the point is if you use this tactic or that tactic, you assume this or that risk
don't complain just because someone doesn't give you a free ride or the free ride has no big speed
the real abusive blocks rarely happens.you need to piss off somebody.real abusive blocks are something personal
blocks in last 50-200m of a round/race aren't considered abusive blocks
blocks in last metres is like in football when a weaker team keeps the ball too much time doing nothing(not attacking or building an attacking phase)in the last minutes

If you say so, mr best gamer ever.
become a world champion in any race and then you could be sarcastic about this
plus it's fault of the french guys that didn't bothered to write
last year was explained perfectly the allowed blocks for each type of race but was other organization
wc is playing with blocks always.i learned in 2011 at my first wc
2nd time when i participate in wc was 2013.i knew how is played and won a title
so my biggest fan ever listen my words

Why i am having a feeling this one will also be more about competition, rather than just having fun with friends from forum?
(i never play online games, because of spoiled and badly grown up kids seeking place to massage their ego there).

Nah, superrider (a gamer who thinks that everything on this world is being great in video games and if you're not good as he is, you're an idiot) is what he is and that won't change. I gues we all have to deal with it.
With this 50 posts rule, we prevented joining of MANY (alot of them already tried to join before the rule was applied and even after it) arrogant "kids" that thinks the same as superrider. I know, I took a participation in WCs (most of these guys were there) this year and it was the biggest mistake in my PCM life.
I really hope this won't turn in a competition and will just stay fun event with known, PCMdaily friends.
