They won their first-ever title on September 17, 2006, defeating the Akron Aeros 8–5 in a rematch of the series from the previous year. Currently all games are carried on a network of radio stations with Mike Antonellis providing the play-by-play, with the flagship WPEI and select TV games on NESN with Eric Frede play-by-play and former Red Sox relief pitcher Ken Ryan.

Kinda excited, haven't played a baseball game for a long time. Normally just get Football.
EDIT: I guess since, there is the possibility to stream, I might do some of that.

The Altoona Curve have officially released the 2014 roster! Expect these guys to be the ones here for a majority of the year! Here is a quick rundown of the roster.
Strengths - We have 2 of the best third basemen in the eastern league on our roster, including Chris Nelson, the best player on our team. We should have alot of strength at this position this year. Our starting pitching unit is among the best in our league also, with 4 out of our 5 guys solid guys with experience at the AAA level. Expect alot of low scoring games.
Weaknesses - We are very weak at the catcher position, and both of our catchers are just coming up from the single A level. We are hoping the past balls are at a minimum, and they can get the bats going early in the season. We only have 1 closing pitcher like most teams, but he went a mere 3 for 8 saves last year at the single A level, and he will need to step it up to stay on the roster.
April Schedule Released
About halfway through each month the following months schedule will be released, and we now know the first month of games for us. We go 7 Home, 7 Away, 7 Home, 7 Away. We only play 4 teams in the first month of play, all of which are in our division. Erie Sea wolves, Akron Rubber-ducks, Richmond Flying Squirrels, and Harrisburg Senators, all of which are the 4 closest teams to Altoona.
Scrimmage set for pre-season
This year our annual spring scrimmage will be held a week before our season begins, and we will be traveling to Tennessee to take on the Smokies of the southern league.
Spoiler
You can expect results from that later on, the season will be kicking off soon and I am very excited.
