Great work!
Nice to see Petit mentioned, I'm curious where Turgot ranks in your Cobbler Ranking as well |

jph27:
Turgot ranks in a tie for 66th overall with a 72.80 rating. In the PCT he is tied for 26th.
Ollfardh & Baseballlover312:
I think you will both be pleased with your team's ranking in the CT, but maybe not with each other as the difference between your two cobbled squads is razor edge thin.

Yeah, all loaned out talents are noted as if belonging to their 2014 team, I want to claim Daniel back

So basically, my Cobbles department is pretty poor. We knew that already |

Nice edition. I'm just curious how you arrive at the cobbler rating and other numbers. Or maybe I missed it after my first day at a new job

As it most likely will in the season. Our leaders are very similar with Joseph being a better climber. Plus Risa-Ergon. i hope that I have more domestiques to help with the effort.

Great to see this back!
Pleased to see Ventoso and Altur. Hopefully they will be a nice combination on the PCT cobbled circuit this season.

Vanspeybrouck about where I think he should be. I'm curious - do you include being Belgian in your rankings? While we don't know exactly how strong the nationality bonus is in this game, it clearly does play a part and as such I feel that being Belgian should count slightly towards the ranking system.
Also great to see Stallaert so high up the young rider rankings, though I don't see him challenging for many races in the future (maybe something like Gent-Wevelgem with the likely sprint finish could work). Really he is likely to be a super domestique for Vanspeybrouck for most of his career.

I like the straightforward and information dense approach. Great job!
I expect a season long battle between the two cobble titans of the PCT: Hornbach vs Quickstep. Besides having the two top favourites Baugnies and Franzoi, they also bring incredible depth to the table with dangerous outsiders Steurs, Veelers, Trentin and supporters Wynants, Lindeman, Vanbilsen, Eichler and possibly De Maar.
AMEX, Allianz, Gazelle, Boeing, Kazzinc and Heineken all have strong leaders and at least one other good cobbler. I'd almost say the same about Jaguar, but I'm unsure how highly to rate Bakari. RBC have an ok leader, but lack depth, CSC have depth but lack a real leader. La Vie Claire will try to snipe some points with Turgot.
I might be underestimating the importance of sprint though. In PCT, cobble races are not as hard as P-R. If sprint is important, AMEX are going to score a lot!
See you at Bahir!

Sorry, but those calculations are proprietary and will not be shared. I will make the following comments about the formula.
1. Cobble Skill is the most important factor.
2. The formula was changed recently based on 2013 results that saw several Sprint finishes in cobble races.
3. A good #2 man can be important.
4. The overall ratings are a general guide for any cobble race.
5. The PCT and CT formulas are tweeked differently than the PT (and overall). This is because of 2 factors (Strength of competition on those tours and the decrease in race distances.
All of the following skills are considered (not in order of priority):
FL, HL, ST, CB, SP, AC, FGT
along with the number of races days
the teams #2 & #3 cobblers
Race previews can be adjusted for number of cobble sections/Km, length of the race and PCM terrain designation (Flat/Hilly).
The concept for the formula was created five years ago before I even joined the ManGame. It has been tweeked 3 times the last just weeks ago after I had my first look at the 2014 MG DB.
It has been a labor of love so I hope you enjoy referring to it.

Nationality is only applied for specific races as part of the preview.
If I knew every teams race schedule I could adjust for nationality but at this time the overall ranks do not use Nationality, just in the race previews.
Double Dekker
The PCT cobble season looks to be a good race. The next issue will be the team evaluations, but your quick review is accurate. Quickstep loves his cobble squad as he should with Baugnies as their leader and as always great depth. Team Hornbach is going to be a wildcard depending on how many cobble race days they give Trentin. Allianz-BMW's Nikolas Maes will need to step to several podium for them to challenge and my AMEXpc teams needs to control the lead group so our sprinters can steal a few podiums.

SN,
Amadou Bakari does not fair well in the Cobbler Rating system. His lack of supporting skills predicts that he will be out of the points in all be the shortest of races.

... And Sibilla? Now he has the chance to lead after I magnanimously gifted him to Aker MOT I fancy he will be not too far away in the Roubaix velodrome.
Seriously though thanks again for this mhaley and great to see make the two big cobbled races this year!

I would've definitely been going for Sibilla if I knew earlier that I did not need the cap space for Herklotz...
