So, which PCT teams will be riding as a wildcard in the ProTour this season - and where?
Fittingly, the two highest ranked continuing-PCT teams ignoring Jaguar) will both make their Grand Tour debut this year. Quickstep at the Tour de France, and Metinvest-Emirates at the Giro. Also at the Giro, giving it an African feel, will be Kenya Airways. The second Tour de France wildcard goes to Bacardi-Itera and their very strong lineup - it will be as if they haven't been away.
Nobody wanted a wildcard to the Vuelta, and indeed there are a few other stage races with no interest as well.
Gazelle are rewarded for their stunning debut season by being the only team to receive 2 stage race wildcards, while a lack of competition means that many teams who applied for a Classics wildcard will get to ride in multiple races.

Congrats to all teams, that got their wildcard.
No need to enter the Vuelta. It`s already hard enough for me to reach my top 10 goal there without more teams.
Popovych/Samwel in Giro
Marquez/Uran/Intxausti at the Tour
awesome.
Had hoped for a weaker wildcard in the TTT as I want a podium there. Oz should really do well and eventually reach it.

7k short of a Vuelta wildcard...
Looking at the remaining races, I suppose I could go for Norway provided I have the money left (likely at the moment) |

Cool to see Oz in both Kopenhagen and California Was thinking of applying for Qatar as well (especially as this was our first PT-race/wildcard ever, iirc). May consider applying for this, too.
Also nice to see Metinvest and Kenya at the Giro!

Incredible that some races don't have teams entering. Wildcards were/are a must in my eyes when you're in a lower division and wishing to develop riders, or even to judge whether your current team can compete in the PT.
Worth far more in experience points than the extra money spent on training a rider or buying in an expensive one.

Did I really get 3 PT wildcards? All for the low, low price of 30k? Not a bad little investment....
Vastaranta/Simon will likely ride all three PT races, so that should be a nice little pairing to have in those races. Not exactly race winners, but maybe a top 10 or 20.
And just to make reporters annoyed Boonratanathanakorn will probably ride all 3 classics

No Vuelta wildcards is very weird.

Look at the clashes it has. Impossible for many teams to even consider it.

Yes! So happy we got the Giro wildcard, we can now field the first all-African team at a GT. Also great that we got LBL, Flèche, Liechtenstein and Tirenno wildcards, looking forward to meeting the PT teams this year.
I guess we got the most wildcards with 5, very happy with that. Surprised there wasn't more interest though.

Yes, the PCT calendar is not designed with PT in mind at all, so as it works out the race clashes with the Vuelta don't fall nicely. Jaguar will probably take a spot if nobody else does, but I wouldn't even be able to send an 8 rider squad.

Yeah that's unfortunate, but at least we're gonna have some fun with PCT managers in the Giro and the Tour.
Wait Bacardi is going to the Tour?! Well they'll probably be the ones having all the laughs then. Damn you Kami and your ProTourish team
Anyway good luck to everyone involved and thanks to those interested in joining the fun at the highest level. It's always a good chance to help develop your riders and involve your team in a bunch of extra race days.

Im happy to get GP Moscow and Rund um Koln, 2 sprinter classics for Cavendish to do well in, I hope Also will be my debut in a PT race
When I narrowed down the races what didn't clash with my race calendar, it only left 3 races, GP Moscow, Rund um Koln and Tour of Northern Europe, really happy to get my top 2

Didn't have the money for Wildcards this year, and the lackluster performance at the Tour de France last season still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully in 2015 we will be riding in every single PT race, if you know what I mean...

Fantastic, got the single wildcard for which I applied .. With many of the big sprinters to leave the PT I think the team will have the possibility of a good outcome with Allan Davis and Kupfernagel

Cool, thanks for the extra wildcard!
Looking forward to Pais Vasco and P-N. I picked them because they have hills and don't clash with important HC/C1 races. This allows me to send a strong team that makes the race more fun.
