Hi!
Some of you might remember my story from 2012, Project 2100. For those of you who don't know what it was, I took controll of a created team and simply simulated the entire season to see how the game would develop without me interacting in any way.
Well, it turned out to be a bit of a success and now it's back! The last version was made using PCM11 and ended somewhere around 2030-40 due to faulty game mechanics. Now with a new and improved game things might take a different turn!
Before we start, you will help me decide a few aspects; Number 1) Should I let sponsor changes take their natural course or should I edit all the contracts so they will last until 2100? Keep in mind, last time it ended with 38 Skys and 17 Rabobanks.
Number 2) Should I try to scout and train talents, like last time, or shouldn't I interact in anyway what so ever?

Hoped for this to come back 
1) I'd say let them change their natural course, it's more fun to have Apple & Allianz(just 2 random sponsors coming up in my head) battling for TdF 2032 win than Movistar & Europcar.
If you get double-sponsors(I have never seen that in my PCM 13 save-games though), you can always edit them to a random other sponsor from the same country
2) I'd say don't interact with the game at all...

1)I would let this run by its natural course.
2)If i remember correctly you just scouted riders and let the 3 year contract end right? In that case it could be fun (also to keep motivation) |

About number 1; it shouldn't be a problem regarding the scouts as long as, and I can't stress this enough, the "quarantine period" is removed. They main problem was that since teams would only sign sponsors for 1 year, but the "quarantine period" could last upto 10 years you ended up with a ton of teams and not enough available sponsors.
If this has been fixed, then there's no problem.
Regarding number 2; Abelbaba is correct. I only scouted them, signed the biggest talents, and let them develope for 2-3 years before I let them either be signed to new teams or end up on the free agents list. I would do the same now. I only did it to make it abit more fun for me.
The format will be more or less the same.
Third question; should I do quarterly reviewes (every third month) or one big on at the end of the year, as last time?

This was a fantastic story last time so cool to have it back
For the questions:
1) let sponsor change. it makes the whole much more interesting
2) if you have more fun this way you can sign and train talents but it would be slightly better without it
3)quarterly reports are not needed. If you want to make more reports you can make one "classic report"(incl. the monuments) and one "GT report" per season. I think it does not matter that much..
Anyway, i will follow this and I want to wish you good luck with it.

Okay, I've made up my mind. I'll let the sponsor changes happen as they normally would, I'll still scout talents (to make it more fun for me) and I'll do the same type of updates as last time.
I just need to do some editing first, you know; give myself a gazillion dollars so I don't go bankrupt, etc.

The 2013-season kicked of with news that Sky would back out of cycling and the team was to be taken over by Vodafone. The first race of the season and UCIs crown jewel, the Tour Down Under was won by Alexandr Kolobnev, and some people tuned in to see Russia take the first win of the season! This was short lived however, as a nother nation would come out triumphant and take home the spoils.
The early spring races saw a surprising win by Kwiatkowski in Paris-Nice, which was only the start of a very good season for the Pole and for Poland in general. Two riders stood out in the early goings, Chris Froome kicked of what was to be a memorable season for him by winning both Tirreno-Adriatico and Vulta a Catalunya. Cancellara, the mighty swiss, etched his name into the records books by taking the much acclaimed treble, P-R, RvV and G-W, all in the same season, a feat which has only been accomplished before by Rick van Looy and Tom Boonen.
As mentioned, Chris Froome and Great Brittains early wins was only a sign of what was to come. The first Grand Tour of the season saw a fantastic fight between Uran and Nibali. The two riders were only separated by 28' before the 19. stage where an offensive Uran was able to gain a massive 5 minute margine which secured him his first GT-win! Two major surprises came when Rafael Majka clinched 4th overall and Lars Petter Nordhaug won the climbers jersey.
The other GTs proved far less exciting, however. Chris Froome won the Tour de France by a clear margin over Contador, and those who thought that he was domination in the flesh didn't know what came next. As the cycling circus headed over too Spain, many believed that Froome, having both excelled in the early spring aswell as the summer, had to be too tired to provide Britain with yet another result. What followed was a one-man wrecking crew. Not only did he win all three jerseys, Froome was 7'58 ahead of Purito in 2nd and kept the leaders jersey for a solid 17 days!
Not content with taking two out of three GTs aswell as other great results, Britain excelled in the World Championships with Ian Stannard and David Millar taking a suprising 1-2 in the road race while Froome came 2nd behind "Der Panzerwagen" Tony Martin in the time trial.
