Hello everyone,
Following the loss of my Rapha - Rouleur ProCycling video story, I have decided to come back with a new story! However, unlike the Rapha - Rouleur story, it will not be custom story or a team story. I am going to return to watch I enjoy most: A One Rider Story!
The chosen man is one of my favourite riders in the peleton, apart from Cavendish, and who I think he is a big hope for the future of French cycling, Romain Bardet!

For many years, French riders have ridden the wave of expectation of the Nation, only to find that ride cut short in splash of unfulfilled potential and disappointment. Riders like Sicard and Rolland have risen to the surface in recent years, only to find themselves struggling to break through into cycling's elite few.
But that is all to change... 2013 brings a bigger wave of new hope. FDJ.fr lead the way with the Sprinter pair of Nacer Bouhanni and Arnaud Démare, as well as the Climbers Thibault Pinot and Kenny Elissonde.
But for one man, the beacon shines the brightest in the nation's hearts... and that is AG2R-La Mondiale's Romain Bardet!

Founded in 1992, by former Professional cyclist Vincent Lavenu, AG2R-La Mondiale is a French Professional Cycling Team riding in the UCI WorldTour.
Under the guidance of Lavenu, with Laurent Biondi at his side, AG2R has risen to be one of the biggest French Team in the Cycling World, taking numerous stage victories in the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, along with the Paris-Nice, Tour of California and many other stage races around the world.

2013 Key Riders - The GC Contenders
Carlos Betancur
The Colombian Carlos Betancur joins the team from the Italian team Acqua e Sapone. After an impressive first season in Professional Cycling, with some great results to boot, Carlos will be looking to progress in his development as a rider with AG2R-La Mondiale. He will be the lead of the team at the Vuelta a Espana and target the Under 25 jersey, as well as supporting Domenico Pozzovivo at the Giro d'Italia.
Domenico Pozzovivo
Like Carlos, Domenico Pozzovivo joins AG2R from an Italian Team. Signed from Colnago-CSF Inox at the end of the 2011 season, the Italian climber comes to the team with an impressive CV. Victories in the Giro d'Italia and Giro del Trentino, as well as high finishes in Tirreno-Adriatico, all make Domenico a key man for AG2R this season.
Jean-Christophe Peraud
After coming to Road Cycling from Mountain Biking, Jean-Christophe only turn Professional in 2010. However, that has not hampered his talent at all. National Time-Trial Champion in 2009, whilst still riding as MTB rider, he has gone on to multiple Top 10 finishes in the Tour de France, Paris-Nice and Critérium du Dauphiné. The Tour de France will again be his main target this year.
2013 Key Riders - The Sprinters
Davide Appollonio
Signed from Sky ProCycling, Davide will be given more of a main sprinters role in the team, rather than working for others. But with his last win being back in 2010, the team will be hoping he can find his form soon.
Yauheni Hutarovich
Another big name signing for the team, the Belorussian sprinter joins from rivals FDJ.fr. Current National Road Race Champion, Yauheni will look to carry on his fine form in the sprints, targeting the Vuelta a Espana.
Samuel Dumoulin
Joining from Cofidis, many think that Sammy's best days might be behind him. However he still has a good kick in the legs, and can be a danger in a smaller field or race. The French Cup races will be his main aim for the season.
2013 Key Riders - The Cobbles
Steve Chainel
Signed from FDJ.fr, with a background of Cyclo-Cross, Steve will lead the line in the Cobbled Classics this season, following Top 20 finishes at Gent-Wevelgem, E3-Harelbeke, Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris-Roubaix over the last couple of years.

A great choice I hope you will boost Romain's potential a bit, so in a few seasons we'll finally see a French Tour winner

Rider profile is now up!
*****
@cossack: The potential will be left as per the game, with the evolution of 0.3 being set. I want to have this story last quite a few seasons, so I am looking for a more natural progression with Romain
@admir: Thanks a lot Chosen to keep the motivation up! I have been looking at a number of riders for the story, all with a similar talent / potential for the future and I just kept coming back to Bardet.
@froome: Good to know you will follow I have been a fan of Bardet ever since the Ardennes Classics in 2012.
@sutty: thanks a lot sorry the Rapha story ended, but Sutton lives on in your story
@mvhoogdalem: Bardet seems to be a popular choice glad to see you on board

I hope this can be as good as your Cavendish story, which was absolute brilliance
Bardet is pretty cool, so that's good Though I would've preferred Barguil |

Team Presentation, Key Riders, Bardet's Schedule and Goals are up
*****
@Ian: Barguil is a great rider, but I am more of a fan of Bardet, so I was thinking more motivational with my selection Also Argos are geared towards sprints and I want more a Mountains based story
@Sutty: I hope that too! In real life, he got it in Tour de Suisse, but plan is to send Bardet to Dauphiné

Just saw this, love the rider choice, and I hope this can be like your Cavendish story
EDIT: The team photo isn't working, something about no deep wiring
