I don't see a thread for this, so I've decided to make on.
For one, to discuss the upcoming release of GTA V, what I expect to be one of the finest games up to date!
Summary
Grand Theft Auto V will be an open-world game. There will be 3 main characters (Trevor, Michael & Franklin), each with personal stats and special abilities. The map will be open from the start (except for some restricted areas) and will be fully explore-able, from the mountain tops to the ocean floor. The map size will be bigger than GTA San Andreas, GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption put together, with room to spare.
The world will seem real, with many different pedestrians all living their own separate lives. Besides missions, the player will be able to take part in many mini-games, such as cycling, golf, tennis, or just cruise around town and pay a visit to the famous GTA whores.

Secondly, I'd like to ask a question. I'll only be getting my copy a day after the release or potentially even later. Is anyone here planning on launching a release-day stream?
Man, this game is going to be great.
Definitely going to buy it on the day itself. Not going to stream, sorry.
Why do you get the game later btw?
Oh, and don't forget to put some video's in the first post, so that people who just clicked on the thread, and aren't interested in the game, will be convinced immediately
I'd quite like to get it, but only if it's coming to PC Which hopefully it will, even after that controversy thing where they supposedly leaked some stuff saying it was coming to PC and then denied it.

I ordered it through Amazon, which means it gets send the day before the release, but probably gets delivered the day after.
I wouldn't do this, but a €20 is worth a day's wait

I've been scanning the internet for as much GTA V info as possible these days and I've seen quite some fan artwork on the map, but this one looks pretty credible. He/She based it mostly on Achievement Map Outline and the screenshots & trailers.
The city looks smaller than it actually is, I think it misses secondary roads.
I think the city already leaked before, so that's the official city, however, like I said, it's bigger than it looks. If you put some screenshots next to each other, you see those thinner lines (which you'd think are small roads) in the city are actually quite large & wide, which leads me to believe the small roads, 1 or 2 wide, are not even here.
This is all speculation, though. Just wanted to share this "map".
What we know for sure is that it'll be large, Los Santos will be quite huge (seen in the official trailer launched earlier today - jumping out of the helicopter) and there will be a lot of mountains.

Indeed, I guess the small roads are not included.
Map looks pretty cool!
Also, even if the small roads already are incluided, it's still quite big, since there are some villages spread around the map as well, and the enormous amount of mountain/hilly terrain as well.
Looking forward to a cycling race in the mountains
GTA V, not as big as you expected? (Looking at the map Ian posted)
Think again. https://imageshack.../qk0g.jpg/
I decided to do some research as well. This is a screenshot from one of the trailers/gameplay video's(not my screenshot, just found it)
I think this screen is taken from Vinewood Hills(Hollywood hills), so if I saw it right, not even whole Los Santos is on it, let alone the whole map
Edit:
Allright, I don't get imageshack, just click the link

There are two interesting links concerning map size as well. here they are:
I think it'll be the greatest game to ever exist there'll be hunting, plenty of mini-games, cycling, flying... I reckon I'll just drive around the city the first days, maybe only start my first mission a week after I got it
The map indeed looks very good and pretty big, especially for this generation of consoles. I'm looking forward GTA Online too. Anyway who is going to buy it for Xbox 360?

For me, even more important than missions, is activities. What can you do besides missions? I reckon, my GTA San Andreas hours in my life are like:
40 hours: missions
+200 hours: off-mission fun
So, a nice activity analysis. Really looking forward to cycling and tennis
