Hi everyone,
I have decided to come back to the story writing world of PCM Daily! Following on from my '2012 PCM Award Nominated' Project Rainbow Jersey/Breaking the Curse story about Mark Cavendish, I have decided that I will write a Team Story instead.
The chosen team is a custom team, in the name of Rapha - Rouleur ProCycling

2012 was described in the British Press as 'The Sporting Year' for all of British Sport. Success in the Olympics and Paralympics, Andy Murray winning the US Open, Chelsea FC becoming the Kings of Europe, Rory McIloy's triumph in the PGA Masters and let's not forget, Bradley Wiggins being the first Brit to win the Tour de France. British sport is most certainly coming to its peak.
But what to the future... How long can this success go on for? Well this is a story to make sure that it will carry on for a long time to come!
Rapha - Rouleur ProCycling is the brainchild of the new Team Manager Phil Hoyle. At the end of the 2012 season, Rapha Condor - Sharp manager John Herity decided to take a step back from Professional Cycling in Britain, leaving the door open for Hoyle to step in, with one goal in his mind: Find the next big thing in British Cycling!
Rapha were delighted to stay onboard as main sponsor, extending their contract to 2016.
The creator of some of the finest cycling clothing and accessories since 2003, Rapha have grown from humble beginnings to the where they are now, and are keen to support Phil's vision for the future of British cycling.
Rouleur Magazine comes hand-in-hand with Rapha clothing. They focus on the exquisite imagery of cycling and is aimed at those who are passionate about the world of road racing, but don't want to read about bike tests and race reports.
Made by Rapha, with input from Hoyle himself, the jersey is everything that the brand stands for. Classic in design, with no overload of the sponsoring, the team will be looking good in the peleton all across Britain and Europe this 2013 season.
British Bicycle Manufacturers Condor will continue its support of the team, providing the team with their 2013 edition of the 'Leggero' bike.

Rapha - Rouleur's vision is one that will focus mainly on young up and coming riders, scouting to find the best the UK and Ireland has to offer, and occasionally dipping their toes into the European Talent Pool should an exceptional rider come onto their radar.
The team first ever roster is a mixture of youth and experience, drawing together the best from the UK's Domestic Pro Peleton with a few riders from the continent added into the mix.

@Casper: Thanks. Was worried that the team was getting on the large side, but I think it will work out just fine. I'm a fan of Mullen as well. His potential on PCM is great

Jaguar teams up with Rapha-Rouleur
Rapha-Rouleur are happy to announce a partnership with the Jaguar Academy of Sport for the forthcoming season.
The Academy of Sport was set up by Jaguar back in 2010, with the aim of helping to produce some of UK's next future stars through the mentoring of some of the biggest names in British Sport, and has a vision equal to that of Rapha-Rouleur Team Manager Phil Hoyle.
Jaguar have signed a 2-year contract with the team, with the option to a further year.
The Academy's logo will appear on the back of the team's shorts

@ufo: Jaguar is just an additional sponsor who I suddenly remembered about when watching a documentary on Cavendish. Thought it was nice touch to the team

 Pre-Season Training - Brittany, France
After 10 days in Wales, the team headed out to France for some TT training. Clear skies greeted the riders from the day they arrived on French soil, and it was good to get away from the cold, wet UK.
