Don't know if it's already said, but Pantani will probably loose his Tour-win of 1998.

The 49th of the 1998 tour will get the win.
I don't like taking victories from deceased riders

No he won't. 8 year limitation rule means it's not possible. McQuaid (who said this) once again forgets a very well-known rule

If they want to they'll take it away, remember Armstrong? Fairly certain 2012 take away 2000 is more than 8...

Probably at Vacansoleil's place. Hopefully they can get a sponsor for next year.

Ahh McQuaid bless him, just when you think he's bottomed out in comes the next sound bite or press release to make him sound that bit more clueless... |

But I think you won't have to wait long. Really hope that Mollema can win a stage

'We' were already just 500m away from a stage-win today, so who knows?

The statute of limitations was possible with Lance because he returned and according to USADA, continued doping. The statute gets reset up until the last offense

Now let's wait for him to come up with a claim about how much UCI is faithful to its own rules, etc.
Maybe next time he'll suggest a life time ban for Pantani. |

Sort of. If they considered it separate offences, he couldn't be stripped of the earlier ones, but in that case the doping program on the team never stopped, so the people who put it in place and organized it were charged with a single offense 1998-2010, and what matters is the date when it ended. 2010.

Good thing that rule exists. Because otherwise we would get our first official Tour winner in this 100th edition |

I was going to go "What do you mean? There have been clean winners!"...then I started thinking back and I can barely name two. Yikes.

Good thing is that when the time will come for that, we'll be able to fax him directly to CAS. |
