In the continuation of the C2 flat classics, the Boras Runt is raced for the first time in Mangame history. The race is held in Sweden and favors the sprinters, which is why the main riders here are all good in a fast finish.
There is small startlist with only nine teams making the trip to Scandinavia, but the race will still be hotly contested by some of the best sprinters in the Continental Tour. The only Pro-Continental team here is the home team Swedbank - Peab, who will be hoping to surprise their fans on home turf.
Out of the 62 riders attending, where else to start than Maksimov? Privatbank’s Russian sprinter is the main favorite and must fancy his chances here, especially with help from riders like Gomenyuk and Ansons. The small hills could harm his chances though, as he struggles on anything that is not pan-flat. It will be interesting to see how he handles the terrain.
Die Berg Komt Er is also here and brings a very strong squad. Abakoumov should prove a good option in an easy race over the small hills, while Duque could prove a good leadout / surprise option in a tougher race. Chavanel is also a very strong helper that should not be underestimated.
A third big sprinter here is Dekkers, who spearheads Allianz’s squad. He will probably have to fend for himself due to his only real helper being Havik, though that shouldn’t be a problem in the right circumstances.
The next two best teams who are here are probably MTN-WBR and home team Swedbank. The South African squad brings Day and Ben Youcef who could both do something, while the Swedes have both Westling and Hushovd. Both teams will be hoping that their two sprinters can help each other in what should be a fast finale.
Another partly Scandinavian team attending is Risa - Ergon. They are lead here by Jorgensen, who could do well as he has good top end speed. His endurance in a high-speed finish is a question though. He has support from Enger. Eskpla probably have a similar level of strength, they are lead by Gavazzi.
Only the Vattenfall and ANC - Halfords squads' remain, which are lead by Crespo and Bahati respectively. They both are not as strong as the rest but can aspire to get a Top 10 with some luck. That said, these are the teams that will probably look to get into the breakaway as they are not the strongest.

Thankg god I didn't come here. Probably Dall'Antonia or Ciocan could do something, but too easy route for them. I'll bet that Maksimov is going to fail and that Day will win. |

Continuing the tradition to reward the loaning teams of my riders for their accomodation during transfers by cheering for them when they field one, come on Day!

If Maksimov competes in the sprint I know my training in the off-season paid off. If he wins, then PCM12 is a lot nicer with the speed bumps than PCM11 was.

Maksimov winning just seems impossible, knowing his history. On the other hand, even Thorsen has been in contention for some sprints this year. If there's one place he finally breaks the curse, I feel like it should be here.
Nevertheless, my pick is Abakoumov.

If Maksimov cannot win here then what a waste of time he is. CSC's season is sucking big time, they need a pick me up, actually Privatbank are stalling slightly too. A bit of pressure Dekkers and Die Berg are dangerous.

At this point if Maksimov win's I'm going to put it in my HQ as well because I don't think I will get a single stage/race win this season (the two exceptions could be Portugal and Tour of America). Consistency will hopefully allow us to finish mid-table, were we can reload with another good off-season.

Well, if not here we also have Moscow waiting, where he has a home bonus thing...
Maksimov needs to win this one, however with such a small field I also think a breakaway could make it...

Shouldn't it still be pick him up? |

No, it is fine being used as 'he needs a pick me up'
Anyways, this is no English lesson (Ask your teacher) |

And Smowz, we aren't really stalling, March was a huge fuck-up, but April gave us more than 10 pprd again, with a very nice win in France

Thanks Cio
Wishing for a much-needed win, but realistically top 5
But I see it being very difficult for anyone to get the better of Privatbank and Maksimov

Pathetic, Maksimov should be able to pull off a very long sprint with his ACC stat...
And where the hell was Gomenyuk? He keeps failing as lead-out man...
Anyway, still scored a podium and got a fair amount of points to challenge for a top 10 at the end of the season.
Now on to Moscow where Roman should again fight for the win on an even flatter course.

Well, hoped for better. To be honest, I did have high hopes, but no real expectations, so top 10 is okay for me.
Congrats to Risa Ergon

So close, that was awesome by Klostergaard. Was cheering him on. But not too much as Swedbank is below me in the rankings

Must admit it was nice to see Jørgensen win, as he rode last season for us. Big congratulations to fellow Norwegian team Risa - Ergon!
Shame for Klostergaard to be caught well inside the final kilometer, thought he had it bagged when the sprint started.
