When I start PCM and press play, a black screen flashes like it's starting and then goes off. No error message or sounds. I recently installed a new graphics card, so maybe that has something to do with it? I've tried to do it from the start file, the menu and all possiblilities. Any help?

The problem could come from a wrong configuration due to the new graphics card.
Maybe deleting or better renaming the config file somewhere in my documents\pcm11\ will work. I guess it is called graphicconfig.xml or similar.

Should I just delete it and it will make a new one when I restart?

As far as I know, it will be created, if missing. But I am not sure, that's why I said, better rename it.

Welcome. Don't forget to check the options, in case something beside the graphical options got reset. |

I'm having another tech issues and didn't want to start a new thread. When I try to start PCM,, I get a loading cursor for a couple of seconds, but then nothing happens. When I try to start it again, and error message comes up saying the prgram is already running. Yet nothing happens, and I can't play. It's just not playing. I've tried from the direct application, autorun, and shortcuts, all with the same result. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It could be related to a broken save or a broken local.cdb. The fastest way to check it is renaming the pcm11 folder in my documents and then restarting the game. If it runs fine, you can copy the needed files from the renamed folders to the newly created folders one by one and see if it still works. |

Can I just copy all the folders inside my old Docs folder and delete the existing folers in the new one, then copy over the old folders? Or do I need to do every single one individually?

I assume that the game runs again, which is great.
But that means that at least one old file is broken and therefore copying everything would be a bad idea. I don't understand the rest of your post.
But basically you only need your saves, which are here: my documents\renamed folder\users\your name\database\solo\name of DB\. It should not be too hard to copy one by one to see if they work.
If you installed a DB like the daily-DB, you also need the local.cdb from the pack. But you should be able to find that file somewhere in these forums (ask CrueTrue). |

I've installed tons of DBs, patches. I have tons of saves and there are folders in the old folder that don't even exist in the wnew one.

I copied them, but they don't show up in game. Since I shouldn't copy the whole folders I just copied the files to PCM11>users>Pickles312>Database>solo
I successfully got my databases over and they show up in game. But my saves do not. I noticed that folder (solo) groups saves by database, but since those folders are not there (besides official release), I just stuck it in solo. They still don't show up in-game though. What should I do?
By the way, thank you for your help on this stuff.

Nevermind, I fixed it. I just created a new save with the daily DB so a folder would be made and stuffed the saves in their. It works fine now.
Thanks again for your help.

It's time for another episode of reusing old threads.
So this time it was really my fault. I was in a situation where I only had PCM 11 but I got bored of playing my old, long career. So I figured I'd spice it up by downloading the Nos Legendes DB. What I forgot about is that it changes the GUI of your game.
When I had transferred it it had asked me to replace files. I did it, but now that I saw this background I wanted to go back. Since I replaced the real ones, I tried to restore the folders to a previous version, but all I could do was "undo move." SO I did that.
Then when i launched my game I got "PCM Has Stopped Working" before even the opening video came up. I tried several times and restarted my PC.
At this point I figured I would cut my losses and did a fulls system restore on my PC to last night. I thought that would make everything go back to normal, but it still doesn't work, and I've put way too much time into that PCM 11 to let it go.
So that's why I revive another dead thread to spare making a new one. What do you guys think I should do?

Sorry for the careless bump but this kind of post usually slips through the cracks and I'd like a response during this busy time on site.

Another shameless bump. i hate doing it but this has to be on the front page for anybody to see it in the PCM 11 section.
Shouldn't doing a full system restore fix the problem?
