MICHAEL BARRY SUSPENDED AT GARMIN-CERVÉLO
Canadian Michael Barry is suspended at his team Garmin-Cervélo. Manager Marcovdw gave the following statement:
We want a clean team. Recently we found out that Michael used doping at his former team US Postal. We're not tolerating any kind of doping here. Michael will be fired immediately, and he'll get a fine and will possibly be suspended by the LTCF (LeTrik Cycling Federation)
Yesterday Garmin-Cervélo bought Barry from Team Sky (which are now laughing I think), but today his names was called in the "Case Armstrong". But rules say a rider can't change team twice in a transfer period, so Garmin can't sell Barry. Barry will not ride any races for Garmin-Cervélo this year.

New doping story spreads headlines!
Contador won Tour De France in 2010, but after the race the victory got handed to Andy Schleck due to a doping case. Now the case is open again. However, the case will not be discussed before the end of the season. |

Lance Armstrong opens for return!
Lance Armstrong hasnt been on the bike for some years, but now he opens for a comeback. In an interview with LeTrik Magazine he told that he would love to return one day:
''There is something special about cycling, i would love to make a comeback one day'' Says Lance Armstrong. Lance, which will be 40 years in september, tells that even if he will make a comeback it will not be this season. ''Im not inform, i need to practice my racing, lets wait and see next season.''

MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN GARMIN AND SAXO BANK
Manager Marcovdw from Garmin-Cervélo and LeTrik from Team Saxo Bank are discussing in private in a hotel somewhere on earth. Reason is a miscommunication between those two about a transfer. SaxoBank did an offer on Daniel Martin and Christan Vande Velde for 15k. Marcovdw send a mail to LeTrik to say that he only wanted to sell 1 of them and named Dan Martin. Saxo offered 15k for Martin and Tom Danielson. Garmin turned the offer down and wanted 12,5k for Vande Velde and a unknown rider from Garmin. Saxo then wanted only VdV for 10k. Marco thought to be smart and offerd Christian in trade for 9k and Luke Roberts. Saxo did a final attempt: 8k and Roberts. DEAL!!!!, was the answer from Garmin-Cervélo. But in the transferthread, LeTrik said Dan Martin instead of Vande Velde. Now Marcovdw from Garmin-Cervélo, managers LeTrik and Hare from Saxo Bank, Martin, Vande Velde and Roberts are together at a secret place to find a solution. TO BE CONTINUED!

Thats what the new Saxobank boss replied the Garmin boss, who claimed that Saxobank have bought both Vandevelde and Martin.

Both Quickstep and Lotto managers TMM and Ian have been spotted around Liege. The word is that they have been discussing the future of the two teams. With Lotto targeting hills and mountains, and Quickstep targeting flat and cobbles, there is rumour of cheap transfers between the two teams.
TMM was quick to offer his side of the story.
"It is true i met with Ian in Liege. We were there strictly to iron out one or two transfers. But let me say nothing was illegal in our handling of the situation."
The matter has been complicated by the fact that Quickstep now has 34 riders on its roster.
Other rumours are abound that a merger may occur between Omega Pharma and Quickstep for the 2012 season. But it is clear that the time is too far away to get any clear information on that matter.

Moreno signs for Saxobank!
After giving 13,5k team Saxobank successfully signed an spanish rider
Daniel Moreno. Moreno says that he is happy to sign for team Saxobank.
Team owner LeTrik is really happy about this signing, because Moreno is an nice helper for Contador in the mountains. Team manager HaRe also says that he is happy and he says that the team is looking to sign George Hincapie, too. |

Its Big Change at Quickstep
Only 2 days into Transfer Time and Quickstep has been massively active.
They made the first move, signing J.J. Haedo for 10k from Saxobank. Millar swiftly followed, for 5k and Engels. Tosatto joined a group of Italians for 0.5k and Malacarne. A surprise move as Cataldo left for 15k. Leipheimer was rapidly drafted for 10k. Then the big one! Greipel and Blythe for 25k plus de Weert and Devenyns! Ghyselinck, Smukulis and Fairly all joined from HTC for 15k. Morkov and Hernandez followed for 10k. De Maar left for 5k, and Chicci for 5.5k. And most recently Land and Seiberg from Lotto joined for Seeldraeyers and 5k.
Thats 13 riders in, and 8 out.
Yet the team still looks and feels the same.
The new DS, TMM, has really made himself known.
