"I have already cited Jacques Anquetil, and now it is time to mention Jean Robic, since the stage will start at the foot of the Côte de Bonsecours, right where a stele commemorates his historic exploit. And what an exploit it was, with a 130 km breakaway to defeat Brambilla and take the yellow jersey in the last stage of the 1947 Tour de France! Having said that, today's stage to Saint-Quentin should play into the sprinters' hands. We expect the bunch to ride fast on an awe-inspiring course which is usually home to the Tour of Picardy. May I say that I am personally quite fond of this region?"

Boring. Greipel again, but I will obviously be hoping for my boy Gossy. He seems a bit slow though. Frown

Cav to abandon because he's so angry at everything. Pfft

siwi
Angry Cav = win.

Definate victory for Boasson Hagen Wink

Last k @3%.

Shouldn't change a thing though, so I'm going with Greipel in a straight win over Cav, Goss, Sagan, Veelers.

Wait, what?

It's plain flat, which means Sky will go for Cav. Plus, EBH wont beat the likes of Greipel, Goss and those guys in such an easy sprint.

Got a feeling that Cav won't contest it now Wink

EBH so overrated when it comes to his sprint. He cant beat the best sprinters, or the secondbest, in a sprint like today or tomorrow.

Its still a good stage to get a win for him, if you mean that he wont go for Green anymore.

I think Greipel or Cav for tomorrow. Its not quite steep enough for someone like Goss or EBH/ Sagan to have a lot of success. I think with Orica's leadout Goss will be Top 5 for sure though.

I think Goss is a definite top-5 for the rest of the flat stages, it's actually winning one that I'm worried about.

My money is on Greipel.

Riis123
Sagan again. The more it rises, the more does it favour him. Is 3% enough? Hard to tell, but Goss, Hagen and Sagan won't complain. I predict an unpredictable (Pfft) sprint tomorrow.

SotD
3% is probably better for Petacchi than for just about anyone else I suspect... It's not enough to cause a distress between the sprinters, but enough to take the edge of the fastest, and not nearly enough to make Sagan/Hagen/Velits go faster than the real sprinters.

Now if i put my money on Goss, Greipel will win so Gossy it is.

Miguel98
Not enough for Sagan to win, but probably a bit too much for Greipel. Tomorrow it's a day for Mathew Goss.

Aquarius
Given Sagan wins every other stage, and that he didn't win today, I guess tomorrow's winner name is quite obvious.

No, he only has some bruises.

With about 1.2-1 km there's quite sharp corner. Crashes might be inevitable there...
