Hey,
My name is Thomas Dekker and this is my story. You all know is one of the most talented young riders in cycling. That's why I will try to become one of the best GC-riders in the world. Clean.
I'll come back to you guys to present you my Rabobank squad and my season planning and goals.
I know everybody is more into pcm 2012 right now and Dekker isn't one of the favourites of the forum anymore but I like him and I want to make this story great!

So when you say clean - Do you plan on decreasing his stats just kidding looking forward to the presentation |

@dienblad: Great to see that you are following again. I was sure you would like my choice!
@Freitaspcm: Well, I don't have pcm 2012 yet and I really like the Rabobank team of 2007 so it was an easy choice
@johannes-w: I won't change his stats although I hope the database-makers weren't too harsh on him..
@miguel98: Thanks!
@Ruben: I thought you would approve
@Vien: I tought al the Dutchies still liked him but apparently I was wrong. Still nice to see that you are following!
@everyone: I'm currently downloading the DB, it doesn't go very fast but I hope I have it this evening, otherwise the next post will be tomorrow..

Rabobank Team Presentation
Here is the 2007 Rabobank team roster:
As you can see, Rabobank has a well rounded team. I actually think that this is the most well rounded team in the whole peloton as we have guys who can challenge on all terrain. Menchov and Rasmussen are two of the best GT-riders in the whole peloton. Micheal Boogerd is one of the best punchers of the last decade, maybe he can win something this year. Oscar Freire is not only one of the fastest guys in the peloton, he also know how to handle some harder hills. Flecha is probably the only Spaniard who likes cobbles but he can handle them with the best. Then there are some very talented young riders like Dekker, Gesink, Reus and Eltink who will all rise to stardom!
Thomas will start his season overseas with the Tour of California. If he doen's have a jetlag after coming back to Europe, he might race another race before he will compete in the Tirreno-Adriatico trying to defend his title from last year. Next up is Milano-Sanremo were he will try to help Freire to another win. The Criterium-International is next. If Thomas isn't really tired by then, he might compete in the GP Al Pais Vasco to help Boogerd to a good result.

Hayman wins the Australian Championship
The season started great for Rabobank as they took home the win in the Australian Championship. Rabobank didn't have any favourites so Hayman joined the early break. Lotto (Evans) and later Discovery (Davis) couldn't close the gap so the early break sprinted for the win. Hayman felt fresh and surpised as he beated more known sprinters like Goss and Kemps. Hayman will show his new jersey for the first time in next weeks Santos Tour Down Under.

All right, I'm in
Rabobank isn't my favorite team, but maybe you can change that here
Congratulations on the earliest win you can have in the season! |

@Ian Butler: Glad you're following. I hope you start to like Rabo!
Aussie champ takes home Tour!
Only a week after becoming Australian champion, Matthew Hayman won the Santos Tour Down Under. Hayman completed a solo attack on the first stage showing his national jersey immediately. He held 40" advantage over the peloton which gave him a good lead on most favourites. Stuart O'grady sprinted to victory in the next stage which saw him closing in to a half minute. Vandborg won the next tougher stage from a breakaway while Hayman fighted hard to stay with the pack. The next flatter stage was again for O'grady. Knowing O'grady would probably take the jersey with bonusseconds, we let the break go in the queen stage over Willunga hill. D'aniello was the lucky winner. O'grady won again in the last stage but he missed the jersey by 10". Great victory for Hayman who has had an amazing January!
O'grady winning the last stage in Adelaide
Matthew Hayman does what every Australian dreams of, winning the Tour Down Under

Well, you can't get better results than that. Hayman's season is already perfect and it's only just started |

Pineau beats FDJ in La Marseillaise
Jerome Pinea has won the GP de La Marseillaise. The race exploded on the last hill as Vaugrenard and Flecha jumped from the pack to the early break. They gave everything but were caught rather easily in the descent. Flecha started his sprint early. Too early as he was passed by 5 FDJ-riders. Pineau then made a great acceleration and made FDJ look really stupid with 6 riders in the top 8. Flecha ultimately finished as 13th.

The Amgen Tour of California is probably the most contested not Pro Tour race of the season. The route is great with some hilly stages, some flat stages, a mountain top finish and a time trial. Dekker will start his season here and hopes to get a good result. Main opponnents are probably Zabriskie, Colom and Paolinho.
