Hi! My name is Taylor Phinney and i have decided to start making a blog to show all my fans what i've been up to and what going on in the life of a Taylor! I have been inspired to make this blog after reading the cool blogs that have been coming out from young Riders like me, including my teammate Tim Roe, David Veillux( A great candian sensation) and Dominik Nerz a german rider who [img-l]https://www.bmc-racing.com/typo3temp/pics/31c388d2aa.jpg[/img-l]
if you ask me, will be the next great stage racer. I am very well known for me being a track rider but i have signed with the Pro team BMC! I am the current U23 TT World Champion, and seem to be very respected on the roads for that reason. I hope this year goes well and hope you enjoy the Blog!

Cadel Evans
Date of Birth: 14/2/77
Weight: 68kg
Height: 174cm
Cadel is in my opinion the best rider in the world, but has been slandered due to his lack of a grand tour win. We hope to change that this year when the team will do everything in it's power to win him the Tour de France.
Allesandro Ballan
Date of Birth: 6/11/79
Weight: 73kg
Height: 190cm
A former world-champion will be our leader in many of the one day classics and a major participant in the Giro and Tour. His importance cannot be explained in words.
Domestiques & Protected Rider's
George Hincapie
Date of Birth:29/5/73
Weight: 77kg
Height: 190cm
George is the best Domestique. He has been teammates on 8 TdF victories with Lance(Armstrong) and Alberto(Contador) and will look to make it his 9th with Cadel this year.
Tim Roe
Date of Birth:28/10/89
Weight: 66kg
Height: 182cm
Tim is one the best up and coming riders and is inspired me to write a blog, he will in no doubt be a teammate for me in some races and i will also be one for him. I am happy to be riding with such a great rider in Tim Roe.
The Team:
Spoiler Allesandro Ballan

Taylor's Blog! '

Hi Everyone! Just letting you know I'm heading off to the airport today with Tim Roe to send him off, just thought i'd give him a lift so he doesnt have to drive to the airport when he should be relaxing and preparing for his Australian Championships. I've just been told that i will not be in the Tour Down Under because my form is poor and they would like me to continue my training.
Training is pretty intense right now, the directors want me to do more training in the mountains and hills to get me better at that but also want me to keep practicing tim-trialling. My schedule is full even without any races!
Earlier today i had a long conversation with Cadel(Evans) about how life as a young cyclist is hard but the older you get the easier it gets and you dont have so much weight on your shoulders for you to be the next best rider. Cadel is a smart guy, i like the way he teaches me things.
Taylor Out!

I spotted this thread earlier - just wanted to pop in and say good luck - I've recently become aware of Taylor and have been very impressed.
One of the things that really promoted my interest in him was his Blog in RL @ https://taylorphin... which is a very honest and open account of thoughts, feelings and actions.
https://taylorphin...-stage-13/ was especially moving for me. |

Taylor's Goals will be the TT in the Vuelta and he hopes to lead in a tour similar to the Eneco tour(not sure if he will lead BMC in that quite yet) |

Today, i got some fabulous news, Cadel Evans won the Australian national ITT, wait, thats not it, he pulled off the double and won the RR too!
Great news for Cadel!
A shoutout goes to Tim Roe who came 27th in the TT but told me he wasnt feeling too well before the race which is why he didn't finish higher up!
I wont release pictures of the TdU but i will release who won every stage and the GC.
Go Cadel, BMC's first win of the 2011 UCI season! |

Every time i try the USA champs i find it really hard, but yeah i kind of want Taylor to peak at the Vuelta to get a stage win there, but im sure i might be able to get him to win the RR or TT |

So, the TdU has finished and Tim came roaring into my driveway this morning to tell me his wonderful news, he told me about how he attacked to get mountain points on the first day and then later on that day BMC got Kristoff into the win and even John Murphy got second!
He said that we were all way too exhausted after the first day and got a few top tens with Kristoff but could'nt put him in that winning position again.
I've just been told that my first race this season will be...
The Tour of Oman, and i will be riding with My best buds, Tim Roe and Cadel Evans!
See you there! |

Note: My graphics was messed up (i let me brother use the game) and it had graphics on 0 on everything, sorry!
Tour of Oman: Stage one
The day started off nice and warm and it began like a usual cycle race, an attack. Today, it was started by the one, the only, Taylor Phinney!
The BOTD was formed and it was a 8 man group that got a lead up over 8 minutes.
The BOTD past all the Sprint points and Taylor Phinney won every point!
Then the gas was on and all team's with sprinters came to the front, BMC was working for Van Avermaet.
Cadel the expected winner of this race was sitting comfortably in the pack with his newly beloved Australian jersey.
We all saw it coming as the Peloton came chasing, Phinney sat up and waited.
At the front the trains started to form, The BMC train was:
Roe
Frank
Morabito
Moinard
Phinney
Van Avermaet
As the train was starting it fell to bits and it was up to Phinney to put Van Avermaet in the best possible position.
Phinney did his best and put Van Avermaet in about 15th position(bringing him from 30th)
Van Avermaet looked blocked, would it not be his day?
Starting his sprint from 15th position couldn't stop him, great job Van Avermaet!
Great Win For Avermaet!
Wow! what a stage! I'm so happy with myself! I got myself into the break and got some sprint point, which earnt me some money. I had to take Greg from 30th position and put him into the sprint, and he won! I'm so happy, me and Tim are going for drinks tonight to celebrate, Time Trial tommorow i think, should be fun to see if i can get that leaders jersey, lol.
These are my two favourite pictures from today:
this is me receiving the young riders jersey, Yay for me!
and
This is a picture of me and Cadel celebrating the win!
