This is a seriously tough route for a hilly classic, initially the laps start fairly easily, but that got dull so with 100km to go a vicious hill is added to the circuit, which should well and truly sort the men from the boys.
The field is very strong, with about 12 riders who have dreams of winning this, although Di Maggio leads the way again. Also fighting him will be Roy and Kolobnev. Expect Roche, Cobo, Kessler, Roux and many others to attempt to get in the decisive move as well.

I hope this will end the misfortune the team has been through so far - the profile should suit Roche perfectly.

Back to racing again, great!
This will be an exciting race, I suspect the final hill is too tough for Roux, with his relatively weak climbing skill, then it might be too tough for Di Maggio too. But I hope not, and if it isn't, Di Maggio is no doubt the favourite, and I can hope for a top 10 from Roux, he will definitely give it everything. |

Hate to put a spanner in the works and that but I believe Red Bull had a squad here confirmed by my planner:
Rider id's: 672, 1891, 1419, 396, 282, 326, 5531.

Cerne has absolutely no expectations whatsoever here, despite this being one of the targeted races.
Here's hoping for a miraculous breakaway

Good to see my team racing again. Although the 81 is maybe too high for Hermans with riders like Froome, Weening, Roy... behind him. But I take this role and hope for a good race.
"Fun Facts" are already prepared but I will wait with the posting until Smowz RedBull issue is solved. |

+1, Or Rui Costa has an amazing ride of his life. I would be pleased with a Top 20.

You should be pretty disappointed if you don`t reach the top20 actually.
Just from his stats a top15 is surely possible.
Same counts for Hermans of course, so go for a mid way attack hopefully. |

Come on Vanendert! The tougher parcours might suit him more than someone like Di Maggio.
Still waiting on my first podium place... I hope this is it.

Damn, it was an epic race as well.
Oh well, report might be delayed then.

I know, but this counts to get the National bonus.
I recognized this as well and was a bit surprised, too. |

Just means he was set as Swiss in the 2007 PPDB PCM06 DB, and if nobody points out the wrong nationality, nothing happens, and I dont recall anyone ever pointing it out until now!

A Top10 is the aim once more, either with Kessler or with some other rider in a breakaway. I just hope it was the right decision to have Kessler here and go for the Strade Bianchi with Wegmann.

I just hope the rider who wins is the rider who goes over the top of that last hill first.
Hopefully Vespa can pick up a few cheeky points. |
