Le Tour de France 2011
Stage 14: Saint-Gaudens > Plateau de Beille 168.5km
Stage Information (by Cyclingnews.com)
The Tour has climbed Plateau de Beille three times and on each occasion, the stage winner has gone on to claim the yellow jersey in Paris. Will today's winner follow Marco Pantani (1998), Lance Armstrong (2002) and Alberto Contador (2007)? They just might, thanks to the five categorised climbs that precede the final summit ascent. At almost 16km and with a gradient just below 8 per cent, the final climb is long and tough enough for the leaders to overhaul any breakaways and dispute the day's spoils between them. The podium contenders should become clear today.

The intermediate sprint is at a perfect place for Gilbert. Could be interesting. |

The day were we will see if Contador can win this Tour or not.
I hope for Ivan Basso, but the Schlecks is the favorites imo.
Btw i think Evans can get in problems on Plateau de Beille. |

A strong breakaway could perhaps surprise and battle for the stage win since there is a bit of flat from Agnes to Plateau de Beille something that might put an end to any early moves by Leopard or another team to set a high pace before the last climb.
I root for Basso and Evans to stay with the brothers but the biggest question is how strong Contador will be? He could potentially lose the tour if he has another bad day like yesterday!

I think Voeckler will stay in yellow. His climbing skills is actually quite good.
The stage win will go to Fränk Schleck, who arrives solo with Basso and Andy finishing together a bit later. Contador loses more time and the chance to win another Tour.

I think this time it's Andy's turn. He will win with at least a half a minute ahead of Evans and Fränk. Basso, Contador and Cunego will lose at least a minute . I also hope that Samu will take the polka dot jersey back. If he won't be in a breakaway he should be able to keep up with Conti or maybe even with Evans

This.
One of Schlecks will take this stage and the yellow jersey will take one of them as well.
And I hope there will be Kreuziger once again in the breakaway. This is his last chance of getting him into the mountain jersey competition.

Brothers Schleck are attacking from the first nr.1 col. LOL
No seriously, but I don't want that the spectacle just have to begin while we're in the ten last kilometers of this stage. |

Why not? If Leopard increases the pace significantly from Col de la Core, than Cavendish will not be the only one, who will be in big risk to don't make it in time. |

We'll be lucky if the spectacle begins with 10km to go.
