2012 Goals
Emu Export will be targeting top 5 results in the longer stage races such as Columbia and America.
Our unofficial goal is to keep teenager Nico Gaur away from alcohol throughout the season while being sponsored solely by companies who produce alcoholic beverages.
2012 Emu Exports
Manager Jack888 will be reforming the current squad and cutting down its numbers. Any decent mountain/hill rider can feel relatively safe as their service will be required in the direction this team is heading.
Recently crowned South African Road champion Darrel Impey will be given appropriate race days if he stays. But we will consider offers from any team interested in acquiring his sprinting abilities.
2012 Emu Imports
We will be watching the Free Agent market very closely for mountain talents. While keeping an eye on any decent 76+ mountain riders who are looking for a new home in 2012.
Team Emu Export are open to any Loans and look forward to giving some lucky young talents a home in 2012.

C1 America Tour: Top 5
Veulta a Portugal (HC): Top 10
Tour Of Colarado: Win
Veulta a Guatamala: Top 5
Tour of Taiwan: Top 5
In a press release last years squad leader Cadel Evans had this to say:
"I believe we have a good chance in all these races. After the disappointment of last season, we have gone for a totally new approach in picking goals for 2012. It may not give us a huge budget, but it will keep our sponsors happy.
Personally, i will be targeting the 'Tour Of Taiwan'. As long as they don't touch my dog i feel i have a good chance at the title."

Nico Gauer Re-signs!
Team Emu Export is proud to announce the re-signing of child superstar Nico Gaur, along with the other 19 riders who plan to stay with the team in 2012. He has this to say:
"A man who views the world the same at 16, as he did at 15, has wasted a whole year of his life.... Well i just spent a whole year on the Continental Tour, so suck on that all my boring teenage comrades, i am the greatest. You all fail LOL. That is all."
Due to the recession, almost 1/3 of the squad was cut to save money for riders who can actually compete. In alphabetical order, here is the current squad:
Giovanny Báez
Andrew Bajadali
Dimitri De Fauw
Cadel Evans
Nico Gauer
Daryl Impey
Dainius Kairelis
Gracjan Lejman
Shaun Lewis
Julien Loubet
Hipólito ElÃas Martino
Daniel McConnell
Fabio Montenegro
Fredy Piamonte
Matteo Priamo
Marek Rutkiewicz
Kevin Seeldraeyers
Ivan Seledkov
Cornelius Van Ooijen
Thomas Ziegler
As you can see, the squad is relatively weak at this stage. We are looking for climbers 76+ (plus one or two 79+), and are willing to trade riders/money.

Interesting need. Team Festina doesn't have too many climbing helpers but do have a few that is within the required amount, whom could potentially be traded away.

I could probably use a rider like Castano or Ardila. For older riders i'd be looking to trade for cash, or a combination of a good climber/cash.

Management of the Cyclevox team have expressed an interest in acquiring SAR RR champion, Daryl Impey. They wish to enquire as to whether Team Emu Exports are looking to sell him, and if so, for what sort of fee.

The negotiators are not entirely sure what to do with Impey. It will depend on the free-agent market prices, and whether he is better off being traded for money or traded for another rider. I'll keep you updated of his status. |

And how about Shaun Lewis? The Oz Cycling Project would be interested and if there's any possibility to talk about a transfer or any kind of deal involving Lewis, we would be happy!

Shaun will be open to a move, but he is a hard domestique to replace. I can't put an exact price on him right now, but i'm sure something can be worked out. |

Nazaret Signs on 1 Year Deal
A positive start to the 2012 transfer season has seen prominent CT climber Magno Nazaret signing for Australia's top climbing team. The South American was pleased with all the interest he received on the Free Agent market, he had this to say:
"I look forward to representing Team Emu Export. I am a big beer fan myself, and alcohol in general. The mountains in Perth will provide a great pre-season workout for me. On Thursday we plan to climb the Westfield multi-story carpark...
By the way, the team physio is hot. Get me her number"
Other impressive signatures include those of former Red Bull riders; VÃctor Hugo Orozco and John-Lee Augustyn. Manager Jack888 was very pleased with the signings, remarking that without a South African in the team he has no one to "rip on".
Mr Augustyn had this to say:
"I am viry glad to syne with this morvolous team. I will torget similar races thys season with Imu Ixport. And I hope to bryng back the goods."

Well he certainly fits your team jersey
Too bad those Spaniards aren't much for interviews on English though!

haha yea, the first image on google search was almost a perfect fit for my jersey
I have never seen an interview of Navarro so i assume he is media shy or something. Or has an over-protective manager as i have decided to irrationally conclude here. |

Mikayil Krasnoperov signs for Emu Export!
The Ukrainian climber signed with Emu Export earlier this evening on a $400,000 deal. Manager Jack888 said if he doesn't earn us $400,000 worth of points, Cadel Evans will cut his head off.
In other news, Ivan Seldkov will be out of action this week after an incident occurred during the squad's weekly off-season drinking games. Rival team Jayco-Red Bull reportedly told Darrell Impey to spike Ivan's vodka before leaving the team's premises last Friday. Retaliation during the Tour Down Under is on the cards.
That is all.

Raisin Proves His Worth
Emu Export take their first stage win of the season in stage 9 of the Vuelta al Tachira.
In the post race interview he had the following to say:
"I knew i had it in me as soon as we hit the final climb. The team has been under a lot of pressure to perform so i am glad to have provided some relief in that department. There is still three stages to go, and we need to get Nazdog back on the podium. We are not finished yet.
I'd lastly like to thank out sponsors. I don't often drink beer, but when i do, i prefer Emu Export..."
Good luck to the team in stage 10/11.

We Were Just Warming Up...
Poor performances so far have been noted by critics far and wide. Little do they know our season has only just begun...
The upcoming Tour of Taiwan will be our first goal race of 2012. John Lee Augustyn will lead us there with support from a strong team. Many will criticize the team for going with a leader that can't hack it on the big stages. But we feel he can step up.
In other news, the team has denied claims of a Nico Gauer brawl with Justin Bieber on a recent training camp in the USA. Reports say Bieber was hitting on Gauer's new girlfriend when a fight between two of the world's most prominent child superstars broke out. |
