@sutty: Fine then Still thanks for the hint. Nice to know there's someone else keeping an eye on little details like that!
@clamel: Avanti is 100% clean Hoping for the same though, as for Data#3 and other teams to go for some more pressure on the top teams soon! And now I finally get, what you was speaking of. Live coverage/videos will never happen though, I'm sorry to say. Used to do single stage's reports in the past two seasons, but don't have that spare time anymore... and of course, I'm aware of Roe move to Drapac Should be a fun team to follow next year! Same for Budget with Bobridge.
Adelaide Tour Preview
The Adelaide Tour will be held in 2015 from April 3-6. The four stage event is part of the Subaru National Road Series (NRS). It's the only South Australian event on the schedule.
Last year's TTT has been removed from the schedule and we have one more road race and another crit/Kermesse here, making for four stages. Even though all of them are rated as flat, there are at least three tricky ones, which feature either uphill finishes or a climb close to the finish.
Results 2014/
1 | Alex Wohler | Budget Forklifts | 5h12'08 | 2 | Nathan Earle | Huon Salmon - Genesys | + 4 | 3 | Aaron Donnelly | Huon Salmon - Genesys | + 12 | 4 | Alexander Edmondson | Euride Racing | + 13 | 5 | Joe Cooper | Huon Salmon - Genesys | + 16 |
Alex Wohler took out the 2014-edition thanks to a gutsy attack on the tricky Woodside Road Race (third stage this year), where he held off the bunch by 17 seconds and brought home a narrow GC-win. Without the TTT this year, we may see a more mixed GC: both sprinters and roleurs/puncheurs do have a shot at the win, as the last two years proved.
Startlist Favorites [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Jones_B_zps4bfcbeed.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Brenton Jones (Avanti Racing)
The team looks set to defend it's already comfortable lead in the team's rankings: Jones may lead an extraordinary strong sprint-squad, with also Haig and O'Brien as possible GC-threats! [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/15NRS_Cantwell_zps650c8cce.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Jonathan Cantwell (Drapac Cycling)
Drapac is back in NRS-action and lines up with a strong squad, too: Cantwell for the sprints and several great allrounders like Anderson, Sulzberger, Norris or Lapthorne will have high ambitions! [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/15NRS_Edmondson_zpsaf4c88fd.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Alex Edmondson (Euride Racing)
Got Zabel'd on final stage last year, but this is always the biggest race for Euride being the local team here. South Australian based Edmondson has the perfect skill-setup and should be a favorite. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/15NRS_KentSpark_zpse50545d7.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Oliver Kent-Spark (search2)
Same goes for strong finishing Kent-Spark, who also can climb those tricky ascends very well. He's the expected all-in-option for search2 here and should be considered a real threat. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/15NRS_Freinstein_zpsa0ad5bbe.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Raphael Freienstein (Charter Mason)
The German is hoping to make some impact in his first season Down Under and is expected to be amongst the best sprinters in the series. Capable of surviving tougher profiles, too. [img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/15NRS_Kerrison_zps4f6c8b04.jpg[/img-l][img-l]https://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/tsmoha/NRS_Portraits/NRS_Platzhalter_zps31ed228a.png[/img-l]Jesse Kerrison (Budget Forklifts)
Has yet to improve on tougher profiles, but he's one of the upcoming sprinters in Australia. Budget also lines up with several promising roleurs, even though Wohler will miss this race this year.

Well, the boys in Avanti might have sipped some Carlton Draught. That will rush them to the top, believe you me.
Yes it´s nice Jack has returned home, but he perhaps missing out on the great races in Europe in 2015. Budget Forklifts is surely not getting too many invitations in Europe.
I hope you get some sponsor package ready soon enough, with Subaru and things.
Lets see if Ollie gets it right in Adelaide. I put a bob on him and cross my finger
But then the Avanti sprint train looks like Giant-Shimano or Omega Pharma QS.
Very hard to beat if you don´t crash their order in the final. Some sharp elbows is needed.
Adelaide is looking to be a cool race.

A great opportunity for a sprinter to take out this short tour. Also good to see a variety of different teams turning up for this race, wouldn't be surprised if the Euride sprint team is up there with the best of them.

Avanti to continue extending their team lead yet again. Surprised to see both Haig and O'Brien in attendence and i think it will harm at least one of their personal title challenges, probably O'Brien considering his current deficit. Still Avanti has often proved to know what they're doing (especially last season ).

You got a great NRS schedule, but haven´t you found any stages for the BIG kick-off every new year.
Mitchelton Bay Classics !!!!
Around the nice Geelong area as you well know
What I miss in this thread is also the presentation of the teams for this 2015 season you started up. First post include some great insight of the teams in 2013 and 2014 and their stats.
Could you find time to add this to your first post ? Since some new riders like Keagan Girdlestone and the german sprinter is new to NRS in your exciting cycle world. Love to see what stats you have come up with for them and the other riders.

No TT really helps the chances of some slightly more unpredictable results. Good chance for an outsider here to get in the action.
Kent Spark has looked 'sparky' in the most recent race. Very hopeful he can get some bonus seconds from somewhere.

@all: Again thanks for following, guys! Currently in a hurry (or not right in the mood) to answer one by one, but will do later on or tomorrow! First of all, the race, which comes in two parts this time, due to some unexpected twists..
Adelaide Tour Stages 1_2 MAJOR SPLITS ON FIRST DAY - FREIENSTEIN IN YELLOW
Brenton Jones (Avanti) and Raphael Freienstein (Charter Mason) took line honours in the two first stages, with the letter taking over the GC-lead from Jones thanks to more bonus seconds so far. Just 17 riders seem to remain in contention for the GC though, a mix of sprinters and puncheurs!
The opening road race from Angaston to Campbelltown proved to be a nice addition to this event, as the "Black Mountain" close to the finish made for an interesting race: Jack Haig (Avanti) was the main reason for the peloton losing contact to a 17-men-group, which would eventually hold off the pack by 41 seconds! The premium sprinters did a good job though and managed to stay in this elite group.
Brenton Jones would beat Freienstein in a close sprint to line, while Daniel Barry (Budget) was caught a few hundred metres before finish after a late attack. Top-sprinter Jon Cantwell (Drapac) completed the podium ahead of Mark O'Brien (Avanti), who grabbed a bonus second that way. NRS-leader Tim Roe (Budget) worked hard for his team and finished in the same group, too.
On second day, a tricky criterium through Adelaide was won by Raphael Freienstein, beating local hero Alex Edmondson (Euride) and again Cantwell to take over yellow from Jones (5th in that stage). With two flat, but again tricky stages to come, the narrow GC-gaps, as well as the mix of sprinters and puncheurs should make for an interesting race! Drapac and Charter Mason pulled back a 3-men-break 20km before finish..
Haig leading the bunch on the challenging climb "Black Mountain"..
..with 17 riders dropping the bunch! Roe leading this group..
Barry went for a late attack..
..but Jones and Freienstein would battle for line honours..
Jones celebrating a close win on a tough day!
Freienstein bounced back on second day, taking the GC-lead as well! | #STAGE_1 | | | 1 | Brenton Jones | Avanti Racing Team | 1h48'45 | 2 | Raphael Freinstein | Charter Mason | s.t. | 3 | Jonathan Cantwell | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 4 | Mark O'Brien | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. | 5 | Alexander Edmondson | Euride Racing | s.t. | | ... | | | 18 | Anthony Giacoppo | Avanti Racing Team | + 41 | | #STAGE_2 | | | 1 | Raphael Freinstein | Charter Mason | 1h09'18 | 2 | Alexander Edmondson | Euride Racing | s.t. | 3 | Jonathan Cantwell | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 4 | Daniel Barry | Budget Forklifts | s.t. | 5 | Brenton Jones | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. | | #PROVISIONAL GC | | | 1 | Raphael Freinstein | Charter Mason | 2h57'53 | 2 | Brenton Jones | Avanti Racing Team | + 4 | 3 | Jonathan Cantwell | Drapac Cycling | + 6 | 4 | Alexander Edmondson | Euride Racing | s.t. | 5 | Daniel Barry | Budget Forklifts | + 9 | 6 | Mark O'Brien | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. | 7 | Oliver Kent-Spark | search2retain | + 10 | 8 | Jesse Kerrison | Budget Forklifts | s.t. | 9 | Jack Anderson | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 10 | Joshua Prete | Budget Forklifts | s.t. | 11 | Daniel Fitter | Charter Mason | s.t. | 12 | Jack Haig | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. | 13 | Tom Kaesler | Euride Racing | s.t. | 14 | Lachlan Norris | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 15 | Timothy Roe | Budget Forklifts | s.t. | 16 | Ben Johnson | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 17 | Sam Crome | Charter Mason | s.t. | 18 | Anthony Giacoppo | Avanti Racing Team | + 51 | 19 | Wesley Sulzberger | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 20 | Scott Law | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. |

Well i guess not a waste for O'Brien and Haig at this point. Perhaps another hard push could really benefit them both

Looking good for Avanti so far. A stage win already in the pocket, and the GC is looking far from unrealistic. The split in stage 1 is a very nice bonus, and already excluded some rivals, which is great!

Excellent start from Freinstein here, with one stage win and a second place means he has to be a favourite to hold the lead through to the end in Campbelltown.

@all: Thanks again, guys. Some good racing on the first days and here we go with the final stages to get this race finished!
Adelaide Tour Stages 3_4 ANDERSON WINS ADELAIDE TOUR BY A SECOND ON O'BRIEN!
The Adelaide Tour once again proved to be entertaining, as Jack Anderson (Drapac) took out the overall win by just a second on Mark O'Brien (Avanti), while local favorite Alex Edmondson (Euride) completed the podium ahead of Daniel Barry (Budget) and double stage-winner Brenton Jones (Avanti)!
The third day appeared to be crucial for the GC as it was once again ridden fast and made for some thrill and drama, too: when Jack Anderson launched his winning move 10km to the line, a hectical race would cause a crash at the front of the bunch, where NRS-leader Timmy Roe (Bugdet) hit the turf to see any GC-hopes fade away: as well as Oliver Kent-Spark (search2) and Tommy Nankervis (Budget)!
Budget would try to bounce back quickly, when Daniel Barry and Brodie Talbot - accompanied by Alex Edmondson - went after Mark O'Brien, who attacked the bunch a few moments later than Anderson did.. at this point, it became clear, that it wouldn't be a day for pure sprinters! Anderson held off O'Brien to take yellow and both finished with a notable gap on the chasing group and the peloton.
With just one second of advantage on O'Brien, the GC-win wasn't yet sealed for Anderson though. But opposing to the opening stage, O'Brien missed out on more bonifications as 17th, while teammate Brenton Jones stormed to his second stage-win in this race! Overall, a great tour for Avanti. And some tough luck for Roe, who will now see O'Brien coming close in the NRS rankings. Anderson and O'Brien attacking the bunch 10km before finish!
Roe hitting the turf just a few seconds later..
..while Anderson fights to hold off solo-chasing O'Brien..
..who narrows the gap on the challenging finishing stretch..
..too miss out on the stage and GC-lead by a small margin!
Kent-Spark (search2) and Szollosi (Data#3) went clear in the final crit..
..where Jones takes out his second stage quite dominating!
Anderson celebrating Drapac's second GC-victory in this young season! | #STAGE_3 | | | 1 | Jack Anderson | Drapac Cycling | 3h30'25 | 2 | Mark O'Brien | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. | 3 | Daniel Barry | Budget Forklifts | + 38 | 4 | Alexander Edmondson | Euride Racing | s.t. | 5 | Brodie Talbot | Budget Forklifts | + 1'02 | | #STAGE_4 | | | 1 | Brenton Jones | Avanti Racing Team | 1h07'28 | 2 | Bernard Sulzberger | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 3 | Jonathan Cantwell | Drapac Cycling | s.t. | 4 | Raphael Freinstein | Charter Mason | s.t. | 5 | Jesse Kerrison | Budget Forklifts | s.t. | | #FINAL GC | | | 1 | Jack Anderson | Drapac Cycling | 7h35'50 | 2 | Mark O'Brien | Avanti Racing Team | + 1 | 3 | Alexander Edmondson | Euride Racing | + 39 | 4 | Daniel Barry | Budget Forklifts | + 41 | 5 | Brenton Jones | Avanti Racing Team | + 56 | 6 | Raphael Freinstein | Charter Mason | + 57 | 7 | Jonathan Cantwell | Drapac Cycling | + 1'02 | 8 | Jesse Kerrison | Budget Forklifts | + 1'08 | 9 | Tom Kaesler | Euride Racing | s.t. | 10 | Jack Haig | Avanti Racing Team | s.t. |

Disappointing finish, but I guess it's still a good result for Freinstein at the end of the day. Kudos to Anderson and O'Brien for taking the risk of attacking so late in the stage, it certainly paid off!

A shame Kent spark got caught up in crash, the search continues for a breakout result.
A nice tight race though!

I do pity Timmy Roe crashing in this race. Well I hope he is OK for the next race, and keep his top placing in the Series .....
I guess Forklifts will miss him if he is injured, and even young Kerrison that will need him to finally getting some results in the sprints.

Great result for O'Brien to get his title challenge heading back in the right direction. Haig needed more for his bid. Roe losing out most of the trio. Another good race and plenty of team points for Avanti yet again
