Length and weight (cm&kg): 193cm / 77kg
Nationality (and region if applicable): BEL (Brussels)
Specialty: Sprints

@sutty: He was really good today. It was very unfortunate there were 2 attackers ahead.

Our squad
Björn Arvid can show off his Norwegian championship jersey. For the rest, it seems likely he'll be a domestique.
Peter de Groote is probably going somewhere in the sprint train as a good rider on the flat.
Johnnie Flodder is our leader for today, being the team's best sprinter.
Fatbardh Haxhi will be his lead-out as second-best sprinter.
Heiko Kalichmann will be a domestique for today.
Peter Pal is going to ride with a free role, or as an optional lead-out.

Race report

A break of 8 riders is allowed to get away today.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1370_zps034ee285.jpg

With 18km to go a massive group is dropped. All contenders for today were paying attention though.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1371_zps9c2cb7f3.jpg

Despite the pack's work the break still has a minute with 5kms to go.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1372_zps15037a79.jpg

With 1km to go only Duchesne hasn't been picked up by the pack. It doesn't seem likely it will happen though.

Stages

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1376_zps62d89e55.jpg
Stage 1 is the first of two chances for sprinters. No doubt they want to use these chances optimally.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1377_zps0705b4ba.jpg
Stage 2 is a serious mountain stage already. Climbers should also have a good downhill though.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1378_zpsc2d976ce.jpg
A good downhill isn't necessary today, but a good climb must be ridden in order to win today.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1379_zpsd2aa1163.jpg
The other chance for sprinters. Despite some short hills the stage should suit sprinters most.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1380_zps92c7fd7c.jpg
And another mountain stage. 3 difficult climbs should give a good impression of the GC before the time trial.

report

i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1381_zps63c7bf7e.jpg
Obviously, a flat TT is a sin here. The climbers have a last chance to shake up the GC a little today.

report

Our squad
Björn Arvid will be support in pretty much every stage, or perhaps go in a break.
Johnnie Flodder will aim on the two flat stages, where a victory isn't impossible. Since this is his last race for the team, he'll be extremely motivated.
Joep Gouda is peaking here and has been given a leader role for this stage race.
Kristian Hammarling will have a free role in the sprints, or if he has a bad day he'll support Johnnie.
Heiko Kalichmann will probably be a domestique here as well, if not, he'll go into a break most likely.
Peter Pal will be important in all stages except for the last one. If he manages to hang on on a climb even a stage win isn't unlikely.
Timothy Raue will be lieutenant of Joep. As a good climber, he might be able to get himself up high as well.
Taeke Roorda is a domestique here, mainly for the flat stages.

Race report

Unlike yesterday a break is formed easily and quickly.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1400_zps23bffba5.jpg

At the foot of the first long climb 4 more riders attack. Since these 4 are very close in the GC (Taborre 11th, +1min25) the pack ups the pace.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1401_zps35da808c.jpg

In the downhill Rodriguez, 5th in the GC crashes.

On the second climb Rubiano attacks!

He reaches the top first, just ahead of Balloni.
i40.photobucket.com/albums/e206/Selwink1/Projob%20odfjell/PCM1405_zps36070568.jpg

At the final climb Joep decides to close the gap all alone.
