"It's all gone Travis. We don't have any more money saved up."

I knew this moment was coming eventually, it was unavoidable.

"Well, what do you want me to do?
You can't take care of these kids by yourself.
And last time I checked... I'm still banned from cycling anyways!"

"There are more jobs in the world than just cycling Travis!
Now would be a great time if you had one.
They are going to kick us out of our apartment if
we don't pay the rent in the next 5 days."

"Then we move back to USA, you know I can't get a job here because
I can't speak Spanish. It would be best for us to just go home."

"Then what? It's back to the farm life? I don't want to do that Travis.
We are better than that. I was enjoying the life we were living."

"And I tried everything in my power to keep that, how did that turn out?"

"Really Travis? Everything? You used performance enhancing drugs!
What kind of example are you trying to set for your children?"

I was speechless. Chloe was right. I couldn't argue with that.



"Nothing to say? I thought so.
Travis I'm starting to think we might not work out.
I just can't comprehend why you thought PEDs was the answer.
What happened to hard work and dedication? You threw all that away.
I don't know if that's the man I want to spend the rest of my life with."

"Come on man get up. It's not the end of the world.
I mean she hasn't filed the divorce papers yet, that's a good sign."

"I blew it Kyle, it's over. It's only a matter of time."

"Seriously get up! I have been letting mope around my place for 2 months now.
And I can't take that bouncing of the tennis ball on the floor anymore.
I was going to suggest that we hit up the club like old times but..."

"You got stuck with this little fella. So, instead let me take care of this guy
and you should go out and hit the town tonight. It's LA anything can happen."

"Really? I'm still technically married, that would be cheating."

"No, no, no... I'm not suggesting that.
Just go out and talk to people, interact, doing something.
You are driving me crazy just laying on my couch.
Who knows, you might even find yourself a job."

He was right. I had to do something.
Here I was in LA over 1,500 miles away from Chloe and Zooey
(they decided to fly back to Kansas as I went west to California).

Chloe said she needed time away from all the drama to help clear
her mind and decided if this marriage was going to work or not.
I don't blame her, I needed time alone by myself as well.

These past 500 days have been the craziest of my life.
And it all started when this little guy was brought into the world.

What a life he has had so far. A name change would probably
seem normal to him and it actually has a nice ring to it.

A few hours later I got the phone call. It was official.
Chloe had sent in the divorce papers.

The life I knew 500 Days ago had officially crumbled in front of my eyes.
It was time to pick up the pieces and start over. Rebuild. And get her back.

I had to make another Comeback.
