A cross country trip from Arkansas to New Mexico for me.
Chloe decides to head back into Kansas with Zooey to start
setting up for the wedding instead of taking the trip out to the desert with me.
May 1-5, 2014 :  Tour of the Gila
Reda is the top favourite ahead of Deignan, Schumacker, and Craddock.
For Desigual, the team is in my hands. I have the usually squad we
have seen so far in this United States trip but a strong addition
with Henao being flown out specifically for this race.

A very tough uphill finish to start the 5-day tour.
Breakaway is caught with 17kms to go so we head right to the final climb.
5kms to go and I have hooked up with Henao to use him as a launching pad.
Well I don't even have to attack,
Henao and I just start riding away from the depleted peloton.
It wasn't going to be that easy.
Reda drags us back and then goes on the attack.
And rides away into the sunset for a rather easy victory.
My effort isn't wasted however as I finished 6th, 40 seconds behind Reda.

My training is now in your hands for the rest of my career.
After each race I can receive both EXP and Form Points.
EXP is a permanent stat gains while Form is temporary (the next race update).
A maximum of 3 EXP and 5 Form can be rewarded after each stage.
After any stage I receive EXP or Form points
you guys get to decided where I put those stat gains to use.
All you have to do is comment on which category you want
1 of the stat gains to go (Ex. Mountain, Sprint, Flat, etc.)
The EXP points are used up first followed by the Form.
Each member can only say one category for themselves.
And it will go until all the points are used up.
If you have any questions about my training, leave a question below.
It looks confusing at first but it's rather simple,
and this will be the only method for me to progress talent wise.

My last two stages before I head back to Kansas,
the Summer festival and my wedding is waiting for me.

A rest day before the key hilly stage tomorrow.
No rest for the GC leader Reda because he gets a flat tire
and now crosswinds are getting involved.
This could be a disaster for the man wearing yellow.
The breakaway is benefiting from the winds as
the peloton is struggling to close their gap. It hovers around a minute.
And the breakaway hangs on to take the win, victory to Joey Rosskopf.
The crosswinds made this a difficult day but I finish in the lead group.
Reda, on the other hand, loses over 7 minutes!
Just goes to show that anything can happen on any stage.
It's heartbreaking for him, but at least I move up another spot in GC.

With Reda out of the GC picture,
Schumacher and Craddock are tied a top of the standings.
We can't let the breakaway get to far ahead because Daniel Jarstø (+5'56")
is the best placed rider in the group. And he is fairly good punchuer.
We skip ahead to the cat. 1 climb. My three teammates have cut
the peloton down to 12 riders. The top 5 in GC + Reda are still here.
Start of the last classified climb and Reda is attacking.
He has a lot of time to make up. Deignan, Craddock, and Zaballa follow.
A few kilometers Schumacher attacks, Henao and I follow.
But by then it's too late. Jarstø just edges a charging Reda for the win.
Behind Deignan taking 3rd but not 1st overall because
a few seconds later Craddock crosses to take 7th and
the overall victory here in New Mexico.
Schumaker nips me on the line for 10th, 2'11" after Jarstø passed through.
So, I take back home with me a 4th place from the Tour of the Gila.

No form because I have a little break in my schedule for my wedding.

My training is now in your hands for the rest of my career.
After each race I can receive both EXP and Form Points.
EXP is a permanent stat gains while Form is temporary (the next race update).
A maximum of 3 EXP and 5 Form can be rewarded after each stage.
After any stage I receive EXP or Form points
you guys get to decided where I put those stat gains to use.
All you have to do is comment on which category you want
1 of the stat gains to go (Ex. Mountain, Sprint, Flat, etc.)
The EXP points are used up first followed by the Form.
Each member can only say one category for themselves.
And it will go until all the points are used up.
If you have any questions about my training, leave a question below.
It looks confusing at first but it's rather simple,
and this will be the only method for me to progress talent wise.
