As cool as a leaders role would have been with SpiderTech,
I'm a sucker for loyalty. So I decided to sign the dotted line with Bissell
as they were the first team to ever express interest in me.
So instead of getting on a plane heading to Kansas to meet my parents,
I was getting in my car to ride up to Santa Rosa for a pre-season training camp.

Nice that he grabbed a contract. But you should really meet your parents again soon!
And Bissell seems a good choice, already having interest for a long time.

Horrible choice. Bissel is nothing, so you've insured that you will be nothing too. Your choice, fine. A bad choice too.

I like it. Gaining experience in American races is a good and logical first step.

I did rather well for my first day of preseason training camp
and impressed the staff that I was actually able to keep up with team.
After reviewing our performances today the team was going to give us
our race schedule and talent evaluations the following day before
we hit the road again for our second day of training in Santa Rosa.
But in the meantime here are a few picture from day 1.
--- *** --- *** --- *** ---
A gentle tempo early to start the day off.
It almost felt like an easy ride just to enjoy the scenery.
I was taking it all in, the sights and sounds around Santa Rosa were beautiful.
With views like this it wasn't hard to enjoy my ride.
And we finished the day with some light descending,
I felt great after my first day in the saddle with my new brothers.

First team and great training. Keep going.
But you really need to see the parents. Soon....

2010 I believe, just looking at the teams that offered him contract
And brilliant story Mre, absolutely loving it. Something different, refreshing and thoroughly entertaining.

@Jakstar22: I'll try when I have time but for right now it's all about cycling and preparing for the season ahead. I'm still sending mail back to them, and occasionally I will get a letter from them. They are still very mad that I left but it seems time continues to heal our wounds in our relationship.
@Ian Butler: 2010, I thought I put that in the last few episodes but when I went back to check the last time I said it was in S3E3 so sorry if you got confused. I'm glad you asked.
@Alakagom: Thanks, always great to hear from other great story writers like yourself.
@tsmoha: If you liked those pictures then you will surely like the ones I got from day 2 of training camp.
@NTTHRASH: (See Jakstar22 response above)

Go Travis And why were they surprised that you were able to stick with the team?

I think I haven`t responded here yet.
I am following since the start and it was one of the very few non MG related threads I checked regularly.
This story is something completely different to others and is very well written.
I really enjoyed all the background information and personal emotions.
Very well done so far! |

Usually dont like too many filtering effects on screenshots, but that filter you've used on the screenshots is amazing. Not sure I'd be a fan of it in a standard story, but here they look stunning. Good choice going to Bissel too.
